Princess just scared the /ahem/ outta me! So I was in my bedroom trying to catch up on the drama & phony banners on YT;) and I heard Princess in the bathroom. I figured she was getting into the TP rolls set aside for recycling or drinking out of the tub:rolleyes:. A few minutes later she runs up to me with an "empty" feminine hygiene product in her mouth. I run out to the L.R. where I have clothes on the floor awaiting their turn in the washer & look & look for the missing piece and can't find it any where! I call the ER Vet & the tech tells me dogs swallow them all the time, yada, yada. She asks what her breed/size is and says "Oh no!" She puts me on hold to ask the vet & as soon as she does I find it, most if not all of it in the pile of whites! So they said keep an eye on her in case she ingested any etc. etc. I went to investigate how it could've even happened & the culprit? The toilet seat was down & lil miss fancy pants used it to jump on the counter! Sorry this is so long, just wanted to vent about this dog making my heart stop! Of course I'm thrilled it was for no reason! |
So scary! our little boogers sure know how to get our hearts pumping  glad everything turned out okay! |
Oh my!! Princess is being a little stink pot to scare her mommy!! :D Hopefully, she didn't eat any of it and everything will be just fine. And mommy's heart can slow down. I know it was racing!! Lol  |
I don't think that story can be topped... |
Yikes!! I know that must have scared the **** out of you! Glad it all turned out well. |
Yikes! I'll bet your heart is just now restarting!!! |
yes, def not something i want to have to explain as to why my puppy was having surgery to remove a foreign body, not to mention my baby having surgery!!! i just can't get over how resourceful she was to use the toilet as a step stool! you can't put anything past these dogs! She seems fine now, over here demanding i play fetch with her. |
Oh my!! SO glad she s okay!!! :) Just a side note...since she jumps on toilet seats, you will have to make sure the lid is always down. Always. I know of one person whose Yorkie drowned in the toilet. Please be careful with your little sweetie! Luckily, mine have never jumped up on the toilet! I still keep lids down just in case though! |
thanks! i'm so glad too, i was about to be a wreck! she did fall in the toilet a while back, i'd rather her tear up something than drown, but how can i keep her off the counter then? why does she have to be so resourceful?? we already keep the garbage on the back of the toilet and i thought everything was basically out of her way in there but i guess i'll be doing some improvising tomorrow. |
Omgosh! I would've been scared too! Could've had a bad ending..but after the fact that is SO funny! Of course it managed to get into the pile of whites too... I'm worried about that with Louie too so I usually just keep the door shut when I'm not watching him. After he learned how to jump on the chair then the table I know anything's possible...All of a sudden I looked up and he's sitting on the table by the fruit bowl.My heart about DROPPED into my stomach! But then we figured out how he got up there. They like to make fools out of us! ;) Glad you called the vet and everything is so far so good though! :animal-pa |
