?? Breeder/Coat As you all know, Zhoie has a cotton coat. My question is, if I would get another puppy from same momma & daddy yorkie, does that increase the changes of getting another cotton coat:confused: |
Anyone....have any thoughts on this  |
I really do not know the answer but I was wondering about the other litter mates from these parents. I would think (only my opinion) that if most of the siblings were cotton coated that there is more likely that they would produce a cotton coat. |

That's sorta what I thought. Their was 5 in the litter and the other 4 are silky....go figure. Bottom line is, I don't know if I want to take that chance again or go with another breeder. Even then, I realize....I may again get the throw back. Thanks so much for the direction :) |

However, Coat Texture and Color should not be what you should be basing your breeder on.....my goodness! |

It's not that I'm basing my breeder on coat/color. However, it is a thought I would have if I was getting a pup from the same breeder. We keep in email contact, as she likes to follow Zhoie. I too, like to follow Zhoie's siblings through my breeder. I received an email that beautiful Chloe (silky) had 3 boys and 2 girls on Sat. I asked who the daddy was and it was Pug (silky), same daddy of Zhoie. Common curiosity, made me question...the why's of the coat. |

I would be interested in the grandparents coats also..if they were silk, chances are higher for a silk...if you wait until at least 4 or 5 months, you should know...most I know at 12 weeks...but a few trick me...I have never had a soft coat at 12 weeks change...but I have what appeared to be silk change to a softer type by 6 mos... |
