Capstar and Program tablets? Anyone used these? We give our doxie Comfortis, and we love it, but Whit is way too small for it, and I'd rather go the pill route so we don't "wash off" the flea stuff. It's OTC at 1-800-PETMEDS, and I'm kinda wary of anything OTC. Maybe just a bias, so I'm hoping to hear from you guys. :) Thanks! ETA: I wasn't paying attention to the fact that I'm in general discussion when I posted. Sorry! |
That protocol is fine if you don't have ticks. It's probably the one I will be starting soon. Shouldn't need the Capstar unless there are actual fleas on your pup. I'd be using Sentinel though (milbemycin for heartworms and Program (lufeneron) for fleas). That you would have to get through your vet. It's very possible that Program is available OTC legally. Could check Novartis' site. |
