We use the Hartz brand from Wal-Greens (or CVS). The are quilted and $9.99/50 pads. |
we use the grass pads - we have one in the bathroom (on tile next to our toilet so when daddy goes he goes too ::laughs::) - and one in the dining room (which is wood - we don't want the carpet getting stained "by accident") - and we use the training "pee-pee spray" - which is supposed to give the dog a scent so he does his business on top of it - which he does lol. And how they work is that they are like a dog litter box per say - they are a box with very little depth - a filter in between - and then the layer of grass on top. He's been pretty great with the training - we've used them since day one and he's 6 months - no complaints... AND when out visiting he still knows to use news paper as a "substitute" =) (because initially we put paper UNDER the grass pads) |

i used to use the disposable ones, have bought the washable puppy ones and i find that they dont last as long.So now i just use the washable human ones they come in a few sizes and they last forever i have had some of the same ones for 2 years. i get them at one of the drug stores they are the same as what the nursing homes use |
Grass pads I'm curious abt the durability of the Potty Patch and how easy is it to clean. Are they really machine washable? I'm still debating on whether to go with the potty pads or the grass.Has anyone had any experience using the litter box with yesterdays news(pellets) for the yorkie. I must make a decision soon as I will be getting my baby in abt 3wks. Thanks for your help. |
We got the Potty Patch. My Westie used it easily but it stunk no matter how often/long since it had been cleaned. We ended up throwing it away after 2 months because the smell was disgusting. |
I have used the OUT brand from Walmart/Target.... the ones from Drs Foster Smith, the Four Pads brand and a couple others i can't think of right now. The ones I prefer are the Clean Go Pads from PPE Pet Supplies. They don't have the cottony stuff in them that go all over the place if they get chewed up..... the pee spot doesn't stay wet like some of them do..... And, they are much more absorbant. I also have a diaper genie that I put the dirty ones in so they don't smell up the place in the trash can. 100 COUNT - Clean Go Pet Puppy Pads - Closeouts |
I have the 2-shredding machines also at my house. Jack didn't shred them till Josie come alone. I did use to get the petsmart brand, those were the best to me. Once the shredding started I bought the washables from petsmart then found out TBumpkins from here made them. They are so much better and cheaper than the ones from petsmart. Very cute colors to choose from also. |
