How To Store Bullysticks :questione I just ordered some bullysticks and would like to ask how you store these sticks? I do have some in a sealed plastic bag in a cool place and was wondering if that would be ok. |
Hi Susan Room temperature is fine for them as long as they are in a zip lock or something |
Susan, You might consider temperature and humidity as I must. Where I live "things" can get VERY yucky because of that. Our temperatures and humidity are high here, and I am just compelled to bag them tightly, and slip them into a out of the way place in the Refrigerator. Actually, I have several bags of Treats and their main food in there too. My guys are small, and I buy "economy" sizes for the cost savings. So, the stuffs are around for a while. |
I just bought bully sticks for the first time. May have order the wrong ones, LOL. The smell is killing me. Josie could smell them in the pantry and would sit by the pantry door. I moved them to the fridge. I can't smell them now until I open the bag. And they will eat them right out of fridge cold. I think someone posted they buy in bulk too and seperate and put the extra in freezer. Next order will be the non-smelly ones for me. |

Where can you buy "smell free" bully sticks? Mine love them so much I just thought I would have to tolerate it. Do dogs like them the same? |

We store ours in a food storage container in their puppy cabinet. |
I carry some that are from Ranch Rewards, they don't have an odor either |
Just a thought--if you have any beef jerky or anything edible that has the little packet of dessicant, put that in the bag or container of bully sticks if you keep them at room temp. That should help keep the humidity at bay so mold or other yuckies don't take over quickly. |
