Hello, I'm new to YorkieTalk.com and I will be picking up my baby on Saturday. My little one is a morkie. I noticed on most other forums that a LOT of people are against the idea of a morkie and I'm hoping that people are more open to it here and I don't have to deal with the rudeness I've seen in other places. :) I just want to be the best mommy and I'm sure I'll have a ton of questions. I'm receiving him from a great source and the money spent pretty much only covers his vaccines and what not that he's had already. I'm new to owning one of these tiny dogs but not new to the puppy experience. I just lost my cairn terrier after almost 15 years and have been so lost with nothing to care for and love, like only you do with a dog. TIA!

I'm so very sorry for your loss.:( There are quite a few people here with Morkies. You are very welcome and no one will bother you about that here. I hope you feel very comfortable here. I know you've got to be very excited and can't wait for Saturday!:)

Welcome to YT!! Since I have been here I have found everyone to be very friendly and welcoming. You will learn alot from this site. BTW, a very good friend of mine adopted her morkie in December....she adores him! Congratulations on your newest family member and I am truly sorry for your loss.

I just can't wait for Saturday! :D It feels so far away! LOL I have him as my profile picture but I can't see it...am I doing something wrong? Or am I the only one not seeing it under my name?:confused:

Ok - your profile picture is the one on your profile page.
The pictures beneath our names are "avatars"
Click on User CP on the blue bar, then go to your settings and "edit avatar" and you can add the picture as your avatar and it will appear under your name when you post.

Hope I've explained this right.

Hello and Welcome to YT!!!!!! And CONGRATULATIONS on your baby!!! I'm so sorry to hear about you other little baby. You'll find that everyone here loves dogs period! Your baby is part yorkie, but that's not a requirement to be here :D I'm currently waiting at least another 10 weeks for my baby to be able to come home so I can't wait for my Saturday to arrive :D Again Welcome to YT....I'm gonna hope over to your page and see your baby!

Welcome! This place is a great source for information with lots of nice and helpful folks. If you ever feel even the slightest tinge of "rudeness" it's usually coming from a place of concern and good intention for the pups. Oh and BTW your baby is SUPER adorable! :)

Thank you :) I completely understand that a lot of people are concerned about animals and I have pretty thick skin when it comes to the opinions of others. I'd rather someone point out something I'm doing wrong because I only want what's best for him. What I saw was more like groups of people attacking some people for just posing the question of getting a morkie or not. I just stayed clear of posting in those places LOL I've seen none of that here :) It looks like most everyone is very kind and helpful. It will be nice getting to know everyone and their furbabies :)

We may get a little "feisty" if someone comes on and asks if we know a reputable morkie breeder.
But those already with morkies (or about to pick one up on Saturday:))
are going to get warm welcomes.
