Save a prayer for my lucy tonight 1 Attachment(s) I'm still new to yt, but I got my baby lucy 11/03/05 when she was 7weeks and 8oz. Well this Sat. she went into a bad seizure and was takin to the vet. She has a bad case of hypoglycemia. I brought her home today and my mom is watching her from 8:30 to 3:30 till my husband gets off work. We have to keep constant check on her 24hrs. She has to be fed and make sure she drinks plenty of water every two hrs. so me and my husband arn't going to get much sleep for the next couple weeks but I don't mind as long as she gets better. At least my mom doesn't work so she is able to watch her during daytime hrs. while my husband and I work. I just wanted to let everyone know and ask you to keep my baby in your prayers tonight. I've attached a pic. of her. Thank you for listening, Crystal Sanders |
prayers are coming your way from me and lexi. hope your baby gets well real soon.... you will be in my thoughts.... |
So sorry to hear that, she is such a cute little thing. I did read your last thread and believe you are aware of kyro syrup, honey, and Nutri-Cal. For such a tiny one you should have these on hand and prehaps put some kyro or honey in her water to be sure. You have to so careful not to get them stressed out or over stimulated, they just don't have a lot of reserves! Glad that the Vet was able to revive her, just keep her secure, safe, hydrated, and fed! I will keep her in my prayers. Good Luck, |
where did you get her if you dont mind me asking?? Dollar had the same thing when he got home..but dont worry, it will get much better. Give her Nutri stat about 3 times a day like a finger tip full and just watch her and make sure she eats !!!! But dont get overwhelmed, i know I did and I was like give him back I cant handle him...then I got on here and was reasured and now we are just fine. And I love him and I would die without him!!! PS...she is the sweetest little thing I have ever seen. the worst thing is to see them go into seziures...I know!!!!! |
i'm keeping her in my prayers. i sent you pm back.... |
It won't hurt her to have a little honey every night, IMO. She's a cutie, I'm a little surprised at this a other posts that indicate a little one going to their forever homes before 10-12 weeks. I wonder what's up with that, my breeders would not release my girls until 10 weeks minimum and Lacey was 4 months old because she was so little. |

I am sorry to hear your having hypoglycemia problems with your little one. I will keep her in my prayers that she gets strong and healthy. |
AWWW She is adorable. Im keeping her in my Prayers. |
My prayers are with you. As mentioned in a previous thread Cali had 2 episodes and once I made sure she ate every 3-4 hours until she was over 2 lbs she has been fine. |
Poor Lucy...I remember when Miko had those problems when he was a pup. We actually had to force feed him for awhile because he would not eat on his own. It was hard to do, but he's alive today because of it. The 2 vets that I took him to told me that he probably wouldn't survive, but I wasn't about to give up. Also, we gave him pedialyte to hydrate him and we put a little honey in it to keep his sugar levels up. We'll be praying for Lucy. |
Great advise was given so I will just say a prayer for Lucy. Mac & Mellie send Yorkie Hugs and Kisses. |
I hope Lucy starts to feel better. I know its so scary when they are sick. Lucy will be in my prayers. Joy |
