Is it really a vacation!!!!! I have come away for 2 weeks down to stay with my son and daughter in law who live in Florida. It was a quick decision and my husband didn't come, so I couldn't bring my babies with me, as only one per adult ticket in cabin. They are home with my husband, but I miss them terribly! I have 'talked' to them on the phone a couple of times! I usually have them here with me....isn't it awful when you are counting the days until you go home and see them?? I live 2 hours north of Toronto, Canada and my daughter and husband will be picking me up from the airport, and I told them to 'make sure' you bring them with you, so I can see them as soon as possible!!!:car::hug: |
I don't know how you're making it through! I don't think I could do it.:D |
I am so glad to hear from you - most people think I am nuts!!! It was a deciding factor in even coming down - I almost didn't, but everyone said they will be fine, don't give up 2 weeks away! I used to have Toffee here with me, and then Darcy, but now I have 2, I couldn't bring them both (usually my husband comes, so he can take one and I can take the other) I can hardly wait to see them in 8 more sleeps!!!! |
Oh, believe me! I understand. I'm not the only one, either. I think it's amazing how much we miss them in just a day's time. |
I worry and have separation anxiety when I leave my puppies. I look forward to coming home from work to be with them. I am planning vacation for this summer, and I just don't know what to do about the "pack".. might not even go. |
I understand completely. My schedule revolves around Rosie. Most of the time I don't go if she can't go. :D Now, if I could convince my boss and my preacher! I would miss her terribly for 2 weeks. I know you will be thrilled to see your babies. |
My husband and I travel down to Florida a few times a year and I miss my babies terribly when we do . . .if we ever buy a house down there, we will definitely be taking them with us when we vacation . . . |
I TOTALLY understand that feeling! Snickers and have never been apart more than a day...and only for his medical reasons. When I had to leave him in the ICU at UT overnight once, it was soooo hard (even though I knew he would have the best care and someone watching him 24/7, I still worried and missed him). Leaving him for the day at the vet's for monitoring last week was also more difficult than I would have expected...he's trying to escape from the vet's wife, who is holding him and get back to me....:unlove:Like they know your leaving them...do they wonder if you are coming back? That breaks my heart to think about it, because you can't explain to them what's happening. Is it that hard when you have skin-kids to leave them??! |
I know how you feel. We are going to Arizona next weekend for 5 days/4 nights (that's all I can leave them for and enjoy my vacation. Then today Cali starts peeing blood and run her to the er. She has a UTI and will be on medicine for 2 weeks. I hate leaving a sick dog with my daughter. Try and enjoy the sunshine and the 8 days will go by fast. |
You do miss them so if you have to be away from them for very long. I can totally relate and two weeks does seem like a long time to miss your babies! This sounds funny to say, but hope vacation whizzes by quickly and your furries are back in your arms B4 you know it. |

Can definitely relate to missing the Yorkies. I worry what they're up to, whether someone has broken in and stolen them (I let my mind really start to wander sometimes), I can't hardly wait to come home to them. |
I don't know how you can do it! I've only left mine for one night before. Have fun on your vacation and do your best not to stress about them. I'm sure DH will do a great job taking care of them, and you will get lots of yorkie kisses when you get back :) |
And this is why I got me a "pack-n-go" yorkie. She's 6 lbs. I've had to leave my cattle dog in the past. LOL Which if anything happens to me she will be miserable, because we are together 24/7 and when we travel, so far by car or truck, she goes with us. So I don't know who will be having seperation anxiety worse. :-) |
Yorkie Talk - the best - has helped me with all your help - I can't say anything to my son - he wouldn't understand. Leaving my skinkids???? Mine are all grown and married - 2 live within walking distance - 2 grandkids from each of them, 11 months to 7 years old, and I actually do miss them, but they understand I will be back in 2 weeks, but you can't tell your furbabies that!!! I will be back down here in October for the birth of my fifth grandchild - and you can bet the furbabies are coming with me the next time!!! |

mine weigh 6 and 8 lbs - I don't think they would fit comfortably in one bag, unless their bag size restrictions are larger than Westjet etc...do you happen to know the bag size? |

Thanks! I will call the airline for bag size - by the way, did you have them in cabin? |
