Im Back...
 

Im Back, and still sad but excited...Since losing Roxie, I have had an emptiness in my heart. I have rescued a little 3-4 lb 4year old girl named Foxy..She is in bad shape, her teeth are rotten, and coat needs TLC..and she is currently in heat, but we are going have her fixed up in no time. I just got her today, and she will be at the vet Monday morning if they can fit her in. She hates a crate, but she will be good as new in no time. She cannot fill Roxies shoes, but it helps having a little one to love again. So Im back, and so happy about it.I will try and post pictures tomorrow..;)

I wish you well with your new baby. She sounds like a sweety. Can't wait to see pictures. :)

I don't know how someone could treat an animal badly. My Bella is so sweet and I would protect her like my own children. Sorry, for your loss but I am glad that you could give Foxy a loving home.

I am so happy that you were able to help this little girl and give her a home. I'm sure she will bring you much happiness. Please post pictures when you can!

Here are the pictures that I promised, and she is actually 5 instead of 4...Can anyone recommend something good to use for her while shes in heat? I dont want to constantly keep her crated, but dont want her making a mess either? Also with her bad teeth, and picky self ..lol..can anyone recommend a good dog food? THanks.

It's so nice to see you back. Your new little girl is precious and I'm sure you will both help each other heal together. There are disposable diapers you can use. I've seen them both at the pet stores and at Wal-Mart in the past. You could probably make a few with a little padding from some scraps in the meantime. Just to get you by. I don't know what you mean by dog food recommendations. Will she eat dry? Can she with her teeth?

Thank you all so much for all of your kind words. As far as her teeth they are really bad. They have alot of plaque and such. Until i get her to the vet tomorrow i dont know the exent of it. Hopefully i will know mre very soon. Thanks again!

I talked with the vet this morning about Foxy and she said that it is going to be better to have Foxy's teeth cleaned when shes getting spayed, she said not only would it be cheaper but it would be better to put her under anthesia only once instead of doing it twice. She said shes fine spaying her while shes in heat, but Im not so sure about that, how long does everyone here recommend to wait until her heat cycle is over to do so? Im also nervous because Roxie weighed 6 lbs exactly when she had her dental and this baby weighs about 3-4 lbs. the vet said shes experienced in spaying ones that small, but still im nervous? Oh well..funny short story..We had to go all the way to Asheville, NC to pick Foxy up on Sat, and that is a 5 hour one way trip..lol..So I was really tired when we got home and didnt sleep well Saturday night, well Sunday night I must have slept VERY good, because my hubby said I was snoring, and everytime I would snore Foxy would growl..lol...Silly story I know, but you guys, she is SO much company for me, and even though I miss Roxie more than life its so comforting to have her there with me, and its only been 2 days..lol..Ohh,,things are finally looking up...I was so stressed after losing Roxie, my doctor put me on stress meds (celexa)..so maybe this little one can be my natural stress reliever..lol..sorry this post was so long and dorky, Im just finally being happy again...

This sounds like a match made in heaven - you needed a little one to love and Foxy needed someone to love her. Bless you for giving this girl a chance at a life she so deserves. :)

Well it sounds like Foxy stress meds are kicking in already!!! I am so so so happy for you and Foxy. You guys are gonna be great together!!! :):):)
