Yorkiesitting for my aunt! It's wild! I'm babysitting for my aunt's 2 yorkies (1 male, 1 female) for the next 2 weeks, and Miko, my yorkie is ecstatic! They are having the time of their lives :) Yesterday we gave my aunt's male a bath, and it was so cute...I'll post the pictures on here tomorrow. The only problem that I'm having is that they pee everywhere every 5 seconds! My Miko is 100% trained and he's still peeing on the pads but the other two are ruining my carpet. They mark everywhere. I don't know what to do...I've heard of using belly bands for the boys, but what are they exactly? And what do I do about Mischa, the female? Thanks for any input! |
How wonderful!!! I want a play mate for Dollar sooo very bad! |
It's a lot of fun but I hope they don't teach Miko bad manners! Haha! Does anyone have any advice about belly bands? And what I can do to help them potty in the right place? |
How fun!! You're gonna have a great time with all this yorkie action. I would get belly bands, you can order them from www.barkindogclothes.com, i'd order a few if I was you and line them with a sanitary napkin/pad so you can change him all day like changing a babies diaper ;) and there are panties that you can buy at petsmart or petco , I think they're close to $20. You can put those on the female with a pad inside and change the pad as needed. If I was you I'd order the belly bands online and buy some potty pads from the store and try to re-potty train them. Once they see how pleased you are when they potty in the right spot they might keep it up ;) Good luck and have fun! |

I saw belly bands at Petsmart the other day. You could get those in a pinch. |
Sounds like a lot of fun. and belly bands help out a lot. |
Thanks to all for the advice...I'll stop by petsmart tomorrow on my way home from work and order some offline for my aunt. She thinks it's too late to keep her yorkies from peeing everywhere, but I believe they can still learn. ;) I'm sure we'll have a few more adventures these next couple of weeks. And I'll keep you all posted about the potty training issues. :) |
