He Eats Everything! Hunter has a major problem with eating EVERYTHING that he can fit into his mouth. He's eaten cotton balls, he's chewed he drawstrings off my sweatshirts and eaten them, and he even chews the faces off of his stuffed animals. Does anyone else have this problem?? how in the world do i keep him from eating stuff! i'm afraid he's going to eat something dangerous. He chewed the face off of his toy monkey and started eating the cotton stuffing?? I caught him in the act and he was only alone for about 1 minute!!! anyone have any good advice? |
This is Tia too. She tries to rip everything apart, but then won't touch her food most times ;) -- The only suggestion I have is to watch really closely and make sure that once a toy gets ripped open you take it away. We have to vacuum sometimes twice a day to make sure there are no little things on the floor for Tia to get to. Constant Vigilance! :D |
I have the same problem with Jake, he has to destroy whatever he comes incontact with. We have to buy two of every toy so that Buddy has a fair chance of getting to play with one before Jake rios it apart. The advice that I can give is to make sure that you pick up the stuffing before he eats it, Jake has vomitted often from eating stuffing. Good Luck. |
Im having the same problem with molly, 11 wks. Im having to watch her like a hawk at the moment. When she goes outide, she is bringing in and chewing on stones, leaves, worms, paper, grass.....you name it, she is chewing on it :D, she also like my mat by the back door! :D |
Before we got Toto, we read in one of our books about this problem. It suggested when they chew on anything other than their "chew" things to remove it and hand them a toy designed for them to chew on! We, no doubt, bought a ton of the toughest chew toys we could find and each time she chewed on anything that she shouldn't ... we gently removed it and handed her something of hers! Didn't take her long to get the idea. She will be two in July and we never have to worry about anything but paper [her alltime fave!] or socks!! ;) |
