shell820810 | 03-22-2011 05:49 AM | Can growth spurts cause behavioural changes? Subdued and lazy? Bit hard to explain how Maisie is, but she just isnt herself. She was in heat about 5 weeks ago, so I thought it was just that, but the Vet says its too long since to be that.
She seems a bit subdued, but not disinterested, and still a bright and alert, but not as playful and probably a bit lazier than normal.
She has also thrown up bile a few mornings, but definitely hasnt be acting as if she is sick.
The vet said her temperature was a bit high, and gave her an antibiotic and an easily digested tinned food (Hills ID) for a week. He has suggested its probably dietary related, nothing to be concerned about, but see how it goes for the next week.
Maisie is on TOTW and has been on the same bag for months, so there has been no diet change, so I dont think thats an issue.
I did get some new treats for her, but they are natural chicken ones, and I dont really expect it to be that, but if it is diet, thats the only thing i can think of.
I have noticed her a bit bigger round the abdomen and the vet said she is around the age where she will be filling out (18 months). Could this be sapping her energy?
Any suggestions? |
