I tried to make her go on the patch, no luck. She saved ALL her poop from yesterday and went this morning outside. YAY rain stopped!! I don't know how she would respond to the rain...She is an adult dog, but she's a rescue and I've only had her for 5 weeks. I'm very proud of her as she's learned to go outside. I don't need to tell her, she just goes when we're outside. Everything's been going well, except when it rained yesterday...I didn't know what to do. I started crating her and make her go on the patch when I take her out. She just won't go! She only peed twice the entire day...on the patch. Of course, we praised her like crazy, but it takes more than twice to register it in her head. Well, now that it's sunny, we are going to have a great day! :D Rain rain rain, please go to Texas!! There's sent my prayers! :p |
Molly goes out and goes on a pad inside. She goes outside twice a day in all types of weather, rain, snow or sun. In bad weather she does her duty quickly. Spring is finally here so we will be outside more! |

One morning during the week it was raining when we went outside. I don't think she's ever seen rain because once she was in the rain and on the wet grass she freaked and tried to run through the screen door. I didn't have the time that morning to show her rain was ok so i just let her use the pee pad. We didn't have another wet day until today. This morning we woke up to snow....yes snow... Since I have no work today I had all the time in the world to stand out there and wait for her to go. I have her on a leash outside so she can't run back to the door. We were outside for 33 minutes before she finally did it. We were both snowy and wet but we had success. Later in the day she was quicker to pee when the snow turned to rain.:D I did the same thing with morgan when she was a puppy. |

As much of an outdoors dog as Jackson is, he can't stand the rain. So he just runs and quickly does his business and runs back in. But he will hold it a lot longer as to avoid the rain. |
I hold an umbrella over Snickers's head and he'll run just beyond the edge of the patio to the nearest grass and then run back in! He goes out in all weather too...he hates the rain and the snow....getting wet at all, really. But, the one good thing about rain and snow is that he runs back in really quick! I almost like taking him out in the rain better, because, when it's nice, he wants to stay outside and run on top of the flower bed (he knows he's not supposed to) and it drives me crazy! |
Poor Darwin and Mabel are taken out in the rain (we live in a rain forest) and snow. We just made it through the snowiest winter we've had in years - I'm talking a lot of snow and they both toughed it out - when it's really cold they can be pretty fast. We don't have an outdoor run for them so we've been out walking in all of the great weather - when they were pups I held an umbrella over them, but it gets pretty complicated trying to hold onto both of them, the umbrella and a poop bag - now they are both tough enough to go out and they just deal!:) |

Mine have sweaters for cold days and hooded rain jackets...we need rain boots too... I'm in Nor Cal gets a bit colder here...and in a rain forest. So ye it rains a lot here... Mine...ugh....gross....use the covered patio or get muddy. AKC potty patch? But I talked to someone who suggested sod from a garden store for rainy days....put it in a box on a covered area, garage etc...can you get a giant patio umbrella? The kind for a picnic table-I got one and scotch guarded the heck out of it...but they use the cement covered patio anyways-oh well that's what hoses are for right? |
