My dogs are a mess. I had to put meds in the ears of one of mine and you would think I was cutting their ears off. I went back to the vet with dog and meds and said we needed to use something else. I sat that brat on the table, handed the meds to the vet and smugly said "Try it!". He did and that stinker didn't flinch..Whattya gonna do? They love us each for different reasons and they hate us for others..

Oh, she doesn't do this to hurt your feelings at all. She just does not see you as the alpha dog. She wants to please you she really does.

I hope things get better soon.

Because they are NOT used to my husband doing anything - when he does do something (which is RARE) they are intimidated ...and they REALLY suck up to him....

With me...they know they have me wrapped around their little paws...and konw if they act like little brats I cave ...and they get their own way - don't take it personal - they act worse for the one they love the most I think !!
Vilette! How true! My Snoodles is a brat when it comes to brushing her. I can do her back, and put the bow in, but brushing anywhere else is a struggle! She has learned to pick up her legs when I am trying to brush them. You would think by now she would get use to me brushing her---I do it every morning! They just have minds of their own, I think! If anyone has over come this problem, let us know!

I think they think the male must be the boss and they're just sucking up.

One thing I noticed is if I have mine at my level, even a little lower, like on the couch but I am sitting with them, they are much more likely to give me a problem than if I am standing over them, like they are on the counter but I am holding them while I am standing up.

Thanks guys for taking the time to reply to me......I washed her face this morning and sat her on the bathroom sink and talked very sweet to her and she did better I agree with having them on somethng and ya being up higer I think that worked too....she was still a lil grouchy but a lot better. Hubby said I was to rough trying to get the job done and thats what peed her off,maybe I need to be more gentle,I am learning
