New PeePee Pads On Monday I recieved a box of peepee pads in the mail. My eight month old Sophie freaked out and would not go near the pads. She would shake and run away. I washed them and she was acting crazy while they were in the washer and dryer. Five pads were reclaimed pads and three were new. What can be wrong here. Today she stopped going on the old pads. Help. |
Hmm- thats wierd! I wonder if she can smell something on the pads since they were reused? Even the new ones would have come in contact with the reclaimed ones and may have transferred the scent. Were the old ones originally new? |
I wonder if you re-wash all of the pads and hang them outside to dry, if the warm air and sun would leave a different scent on them. Also could you try putting a disposble pee pad on top of the washable ones? |
Reclaimed? What does that mean? Are you saying there were purchased from a hospital after being used and abused? |

Could be that the person they were used on passed away. Generally no amout of laundering can take away a death scent. Animals have a much keener sense of smell than us humans. I'd just get rid of those pads and only buy new ones. |

Were they used in a hospital? I thought they were just regular washable potty pads for dogs. Did I miss something? |
