Paula, I'm so sorry to hear this! Zach and Stormy are playing together now free of pain. How is your other little baby holding up without Zach?

It is a little comforting knowing that they have each other, and that God works in mysterious ways. I guess Zach was just too sweet and precious to be here on earth :(



Lola is okay, its been difficult for her as well because she has been a little confused and looking for him. If you say his name she whines and runs around looking. The first two days she sat in the window watching. :( I have lost faith in myself now though and I have been thinking if finding Lola a new home may be better for her? I just cant help and think that some thing bad may happen to her and I can't bare to think about it.

You are hurting right now but you will mend in time and Lola will help you to do it. You have had some bad luck but you just need to keep on keeping on. I dont think you should rehome Lola

I am so sorry for your loss. Your heart is breaking now, but time will heal it. The love of Lola is going to get you through this. Please don't rehome her. You are a good Mom, It was an accident what happened to your little Zach. There is no one to blame. Unfortunately in this life of ours, things happen that we don't like and can't explain. This is one of those times. Hold Lola close, she is hurting too. Give her all of your love and attention. Time will heal your heart, Lola will make sure of it.

I know you don't know me but my heart breaks for your loss. Please don't rehome your Lola out of fear for her under your care. I went through something similar a few years back and was tempted to rehome my cat that has been with us for almost 7 years because I felt like a fur mommy failure. I am so glad I didn't. He served to comfort me as time went on.

They say in greif therapy not to make any drastic changes in your life for at least 6 months after a loss because you may not be making them clearly. You losing your sweet boy is definately a tramuatic loss.

:( I just feel like I don't deserve to have a yorkie. I love Lola very much and she hasn't left my side. I haven't let the dogs sleep in my bed for some time now but both girls been in my bed since. Lola always slept cuddled with Zach and they did everything together. Now I've been holding her and cuddling her all day, going for walks and spending lots of time together. Its just so unfair. My house is so quiet without my boy. It was just last week I was yelling at him to cut it out because he loved to annoy his sisters and then play all innocent. :(

You are deserving of a yorkie. If someone else on here was in the same circumstance would you tell them they needed to hold on to their guilt. I think you need to accept this is an accident and grieve and get to where you can think of the good memories in time.

OH MY GOODNESS!!!! I am just reading this. I have a terrible lump in my stomach. What devistating news. You must be crushed. Sooooooo sorry to hear you lost your beloved Zach. I do believe he is with little Stormy. Now it was his turn to keep her company and play with her. He knows your girls are going to be just fine with you. Stormy needed him now. I think of Stormy quite often and she is always in my prayers. Please don't beat yourself up about this. Accidents happen. If were your child would you say you are not worthy and give her up for adoption??? I don't think so. Stay strong. Your girls need you right now. Everything will be ok.
I will keep you and your family in my prayers. :hands:

I am so sorry to hear about the sad passing of your true friend and companion Zach. Please know that You are a good person and Mommy to your sweet furkids. A awful accident happened which was not your fault. Lola has all ready lost one beloved family member she needs your love and companionship even more now. I loved a passage that Lisaly sent to another YT member on the passing of their sweet baby by Robin Downing DVM We sat together for a while after Belker's death, wondering aloud about the sad fact that animal lives are shorter than human lives.
Shane, who had been listening quietly, piped up, "I know why." Startled, we all turned to him. What came out of his mouth next stunned me - I'd never heard a more comforting explanation. He said, "Everybody is born so that they can learn how to live a good life - like loving everybody and being nice, right?" The four-year-old continued, "Well, animals already know how to do that, so they don't have to stay as long."
I am sorry that Zach's stay had to be so brief. But I know he was loved and that is the most important thing in life. My deepest condolences.

I can not imagine rehoming my surviving dogs after losing one...that would be a sensless tragedy, imo.:(
