So proud of my Oliver!
 
All of you have been so welcoming to Oliver and I... and thank you so much for that! As you know he's a resuce from being a stud at a puppy mill in Missouri for 6 years. He has been adjusting very well (although we are trying to work on potty) but has been scared to go on walks. Yesterday he made a big breakthrough and we went on a nice long walk in the neighborhood (he walks on the grass b/c his feet are still sore) and some nice neighbors stopped me to ask about him. They wanted him to come meet their schnauzer Roxy. Roxy was very depressed bc she had lost her sister pup about 6 months ago and now Roxy... was just diagnosed with cancer. Roxy's parents said she hadn't played or wanted to socialize in months. Well.. Oliver went right over and started wagging his nub and kissed her on the head. He did his little high squeal bark and did his little "dance" around her.... then kissed her head again. Before you knew it Roxy and Oliver were playing in the yard together. Roxy's parents were in tears and so was I. We are going to start having regular play dates!! So proud of my little man!! Look what hes done in under 2 months!! Love you YT!

How PRECIOUS!!!! Sounds like your little guy is adjusting so well...and now he's socializing and helping others!!!! Thank you so much for sharing this experience!!! :)

oh my god what a lovely tale to tell. Poor Roxy, but great to hear that his puppy mill situation hasn't taken away Oliver's spirit. Sounds like a wee trouper.

That is great!! Oliver is doing so well. I love hearing happy stories about rescued dogs.

I'm always amazed at the strength these little ones have to bounce back when given a chance at a safe, loving home. Little Oliver obviously knows that he's found his place with you and he's sharing his joy with Roxy. I'm so glad that he and Roxy found a friend in each other. :)

LOVE LOVE LOVE this story!! So cute and so glad to hear that Oliver can bring so much joy to another dog.

I am sitting here smiling just picturing Oliver enticing Roxy to play. God bless you, Oliver,and Roxy. Stories like this are so inspirational.

Omg'sh...pass the kleenex!...These pups are amazing...They are truly little gifts from God...So glad you opened up your heart and home to sweet little Oliver :love:

I was feeling kind of down today with Gizmo regressing back a little, but this story has been uplifting. If any little munchkin deserves to have fun it's Roxy and Oliver.
