Does Your Yorkie Eat With You? :mtongue: Tibbe is so funny when he eats. He goes to the kitchen, takes a bit of food from his bowl and carries it into the den to actually eat it with me! At least that is what it seems he is doing. It is as if he wants me to share the experience with him or something. He will do this over and over until he is full. Only occasionally does he eat actually standing at his bowl. What is going on with him, do you think? Does your Yorkie do this? |
No, but Bitsy won't eat unless I'm in the kitchen with her :animal36 silly girl..lol. When I'm eating, she sits in the chair with me..I guess waiting for me to drop something:D |
Tallulah eats her moist food right out of the bowl. But she takes one piece of kibble at a time to eat in her bed. She gets her dinner first, then the humans get theirs. She is never fed at the dinner table. I'm trying very hard to make sure she gets the right amount of healthy food only. My last beloved dog used to get terrible bellyaches from table scraps until I threatened death to the next person who gave her "treats.". |
Sugar used to eat her kibble bit by bit out in the living room by me but now that I cook for her she is a little piggy and only brings the TOO LARGE bits out to the rug to eat :p |
No, Zhoie's house has always been in our sunroom since she came home and takes her meals there too. She eats straight from her bowl, but it does have to sit on a rug, LOL. Could be because the tiles are to cold or something. Who knows with these little ones. She gets her meal after we eat usually, unless we are having a late dinner. When we eat she goes about her business as usual. I love not having a beggar at the table, learned from past experiences and I don't want that again. Zhoie has never had people food, so she has no concept what it even is. |
I bought Tibbe a dog bowl mat for his food and water and it is big enough for him to stand and eat on but that has not phased him. I think he must just be trying to be communal or something! |

Mine does that. She carries one kibble at a time into the living room and eats it in front of me, then goes back for another kibble. Funny girl. |
ZoE runs to the kitchen anytime she hears a wrapper crinkle, the fridge open, or the clinking of of dishes. I've never been so conscious of what I'm eating  Between that and the number of times I climb over gates that I have blocking off various parts of the house, getting a new puppy has been a great weight loss program :D |
