We have a jack rabbit at the dog park! Whenever I take Max to the park, he loves to either chase or better yet do the chasing. And talk about fast. He looks like a jack rabbit out there. Anybody else with some crazy fast runners in the park? |
I meant to say, better yet he loves to get chased. He could be a running back in the NFL. He has all the moves to juke you out of your shoes. lol |
Oh yes, Jackson is a FAST one.... he loveslovesloves to run. |
My Yorkie is about 12 lbs also. And his back hind leg muscles are huge. More muscularity than I remember my 30 lb cocker having. Pretty incredible. |
Jezebel loves to chase and to be chased, she really doesn't care which one as long as she can run full speed. And she is fast! She also loves to go to the fence that separates the big dogs from the small dogs, and she'll get the attention of a big dog and get them to run the fence with her. She's not one of those dogs that hangs with their owner at the park. She's greets every human and every dog. If she sees a new dog coming inside, she runs full out to get to the gate to meet the new dog. She has a blast. Chuy is slightly on the timid side, but I know that his previous owners never exposed him to anything like a dog park. He was lucky to get out of the laundry room and have someone at home with him. He is coming around, though, little by little. He's sweet with strangers and OK with other dogs, but he doesn't have the enthusiasm that Jez does. He reserves his enthusiast play for Jez when they are at home. He's more comfortable being himself at home because he never was exposed to anything public before I got him. |
It's nice to see them have such a good time, isn't it?:D |
Max is fantastic with other dogs at the park, but when I walk him at home, he is aggressive with the barking and wants to pull really badly towards any dog he sees. He even barks at people as well occasionally, something he would NEVER do off leash. I need to train him to calm down when encountering other dogs while on a leash. I know he is just being protective of his owner, but it gets out of hand most times. |
