What to do 1 Attachment(s) So Pnut has a BFF his name his Todd (see picture :D) They get along very well, the only thing that drives me CRAZY and I know Pnut as well, Todd humps Pnut almost 80% of them time they are hanging out :thumbdown It drives me crazy!! The owner is my good friend Shana, and she tries to stop him but not in the sense of making him stop. She will just push him away and tell him to stop. We went to the outside mall today and 80% of the time we were walking Todd tried to hump Pnut, and when we stopped in stores, it was to the point where I wanted to carry Pnut :( Then when I was holding Pnut Todd would cry and look at me to put him down...It was really annoying. I am getting sick of it, and I want to tell her SOMETHING, but I don't know how to go about it.. What would you guys do, how would you tell her? |
Super cute picture...and I sadly have no advice. Every once in a while one of my boys will try to hump the other but it's just a dominance thing for them. I'm sure someone will have some info LOL! I'm to new to yorkies. :) |

Armani tried to do this when I brought Chloe home and I put a stop to it right away- every single time he started I told him NO and took him away from her until he learned. Honestly, if your friend doesn't want to reprimand her dog and put an end to it, you need to keep Pnut away from her dog. Its not fair to Pnut to be getting humped constantly. |

I just really want her to try to work with Todd, I mean if it were the other way around I would work really hard to make my dog stop, but I don't really think it bothers her and I dont think she knows how much it bothers me.. So I will have to say something. |

Todd is really domante over Pnut, if Pnut has something Todd will take it. Pnut is very...(I dont know the word) Um he is very mellow and he gives in to other dogs when it comes to toys, food etc. Maybe Todd likes to take advantage over him. I just dont understand why Todd does it all the time.. its odd to me. |

Since she is your best friend I would just be up front and honest with her and tell her it annoys you and it is not fair to your baby either. As your best friend she should understand this. |

That's annoying! :( Jackson tends to be a dog that gets humped a lot at the dog park, I think because he just allows it and doesn't really fight back... LoL. I don't have advice but it it is soooo annoying when owners don't do anything about it. I totally get dogs will be dogs but when Jackson is trying to run and he a dog attached to his leg and the owner is just sitting there, I just take it upon myself to get their dog off mine.... haha. No real advice but can I just say Pnut has got to be the cutest Yorkie Ever?!? His haircut, his little face, his outfits.. gahh, he's sooo cute! |
Took mine to the dog park yesterday and Max loves all dogs and gets along great with everyone. But this one dog tried to hump him yesterday, he barked and kinda snapped at him. The owner was right there too and he told his dog that's what you get for doing that, so he understood. I can only imagine what you're going through. Max doesn't hump anyone, so I am lucky in that respect also. |
Buster humps Maggie, but usually only when she has her harness and leash on and we are leaving for a walk. Sometimes he will try it when they are in the same car seat, she will growl and snap at him. He will try to hump my daughter's dogs, they don't really care but it bothers me. I am stern with him when he does it and sometimes he will go a long time without doing it, but I'm always watching him. |
