Fleas?! Ok since yesterday, every now and then Daisy does this silly thing where she'll run along with her head/snout along the ground, like she's itchy. scratching more than I've seen since I rbought her home. I gave her her first bath since getting her yesterday. And just now, she's on my lap, and I swear I saw a flea crawling along her belly. So what do I do? Can I just buy something at walmart to put on her?? Or does she have to go back to the vet? Obviouslly she caught them outside here....I want to catch this ASAP! (plus IM prone to getting bit by ANYTHING!) lol.... Ideas? |
I would go to the vet and get a quality flea killer. Our pets supplie plus sells advantage but other than that I dont trust what they sell in the stores. I wouldnt delay on it. We were laax in putting flea medicine on my dogs and one developed allergies and chewed a place on his back. They had to shave that area so we could put a spray medicine on it so now he has this big shaven area on his back. Not too attractive looking. |
You can go to PetCo, they sell Advantage. It works really fast. |

I've posted this before and use Dawn Dish Soap in the girls shampoo to prevent/kill fleas - READ this site for more information http://my.homewithgod.com/mkcathy/household/animal.html we have never had fleas but today my hubby THINKS he saw one...so far I haven't and checked the girls really good but I AM bathing them with Dawn today - this really works !! then you can use a precsription medication - but please NO HARTZ Products !!! That can kill a small dog |

Yep, I went to PetCo with a friend, they had it by the counter in a locked up case. All you have to do is ask for it. I thought you could only get it at the Vet, I asked the girl there, she said they started selling it after they put it On-Line. |
