Agree with Brister. I think training automatically increases the bond between human and dog. They get used to looking at and responding to you. Lots of play and celebration after each session. Tibbe would rather "train" than anything in the world, I think. |
Thanks everyone. I'm going to try everything suggested here. I started training with her today and I'm going to try to have a sweeter attitude in general. :) |

Scarlett is more independent than Rhett. But I have noticed a change in her the past few weeks. Dh has taken to calling her "velcro doggy" because she suddenly wants to be on top of one of us all the time. I think they go through their own moods and developmental stages. Just keep trying to engage her; be the most interesting thing in the room. |
I think the girls are naturally more independent. Couver cannot be away from me for a second while I'm home and Khloe cares more about her brother than me. I agree with Brit... I think training her might help build that bond :) |
My Maggie is getting much better at letting me pick her up and hold her. She likes to be held on her terms. She is going to be 3 soon and has definitely bonded with me but is still a little aloof when it comes to snuggling. |
