Help! Concerned about Jackson I had Jackson groomed by a person who came to my house (I switched to her because of concern about canine flu). Everything went well and she did a good job. A few days later I felt a small hard lump ( about the size of a pencil eraser) on his chest about 2 inches below his Adam's apple. Then just yesterday I felt another one on the top of his head! At first it looked like dirt (grayish specks in the fur) and I tried to scratch it off but it seems firmly attached to his head! Has anyone ever encountered this? :( |
Oh goodness! Hallie has a small bump on the top of her head that the vet said was nothing to worry about (I still keep an eye on it)! But it is under the skin. Could it be a scab, maybe he was nicked during grooming? Does it seem to hurt him when you touch it? |
I don't have any ideas what this could be. Had you said the flecks that looked like dirt were black my guess would have been flea fecal, but you said it's grey?? Maybe your vet could give a diagnosis on this?? |

As a matter of fact, I just had him to the vet a couple of weeks ago and he got his rabies vaccine. I wonder if it could be a reaction? |
I would call your Vet and see what they say. He might have to be seen. But, it's better to be safe. Please keep us posted. |
Please let us know what you find out!! |
I would go to the vet. Chachi has a scab he opened up by chewing on it. It was because of allergies that my vet says they see alot of this time of year. |
the bumps could be zits caused by the grooming as simple as an ingrown hair can cause the bump. To be sure have the vet check it! |
