Sad and Angry!!
 

The people who we got Tucker from (hubby's friends) kept a female from Tucker's parents 2nd litter.. (so she is 6 months younger than Tuck) both of the females in that litter were very small. Im pretty sure "fattY" (that is the poor dog's real name, becasue she was the chubby one out of the 2) weighs less than 4 pounds, she is smaller than my toy poodle who is between 4 and 5 pounds.. anyways.. I was told that they planned on not having anymore litters, and that all 3 dogs were gonna be fixed.. We were at the grocery store last night and ran into them and their daughter came running up to my kids, laughing her butt off saying "fatty is gonna have retarded babies because her and scootie mated" :( :mad:.. this is WRONG on so many levels I had all I could to not to scream... first of all they are not the best animal parents out there,( I did not relized this untill after I got Tucker) thier dogs are always covered in dirt and fleas, they are always matted, they look malnurished and 2 years ago when fatty was just a tiny pup like 6 weeks old they were letting the puppies chew on rib bones!! :mad: I spoke up then and only because I was pretty rude about it did they take the bones away from the puppies. Tucker was in pretty bad shape when I got him, I got him at 7 weeks old,( I didnt no it was wrong, I am now a "reformed" yorkie owner, thanks to YT ;)) he had a pretty bad ingunial hernia, he had fleas, and had an ear infection and Im pretty sure that he weighs as much as he does because he is fed a decent diet. Every time they see him they say he is so much bigger because he is fixed... umm..no hes not fat, hes healthy!! Im also pretty convinced that because of his poor diet as a pup is why he is so sensitive to certian foods.
That poor female is not big enough to have puppies,:( not to mention she shouldnt be having her fathers puppies!! I told my hubby that I needed to say something because its just wrong and they need to abort those pups and get that poor dog fixed but he said that I couldnt say anything..because they are his friends (there is alot more to it, but Ive typed out enough).. Im hoping they come to thier senses...:(

Wow, tough one. Husband's friends or not I know my husband would say something. But then again he is a perfectionist.

This is so sad and no matter what you do, I can tell it is something that is going to eat at you. I doubt saying anything to them would make a difference.

wow i can see why ur mad . u really should say something these people might not really know or fully understand the danger this lil girl could be in. just my opinion...

I am at a complete lost.. The fact is you can scream to the top of you lungs and nothing will change. I just hope things work out for the dog

If they have flea-infested, underfed dogs I would call Animal Control and swear out a complaint. I am sure Animal Control can prosecute them for animal cruelty if they are treating them like that. In any event, Animal Control needs to visit them and educate them on what it will take to allow them to retain ownership of their dogs. Currently, these people have no business owning a dog, let alone allowing one to breed. I believe they will keep your identify confidential but at times, we have to do the right thing for animals in trouble and you have just described animals in trouble. Let Animal Control take it from this point on. Thank goodness Tucker made it to your home!

Please report them. I'm almost positive it is an anonymous process. I know you want to do something to help those poor pups and they need to be reported. It is a way of speaking up without confronting them directly!

It's heartless. I hope the little one is ok. So sad.

How on earth can your husband tell you not to say anything when they are doing this to a poor helpless dog. Friends or not. Anybody who would treat a dog like they do are no friends of mine. Take the advice of the people on this fourm and report them

And the name thing...my cat's name is Fatso :D but all his paperwork has his official name Socrates on it.
