Yorkies and other breeds Hello, I am considering purchasing a yorkie and my husband would like a mini-pinscher - the plan is to get them at the same time and let them get to know each other and our home. First do these two get along and secondly, is getting them at the same time the right thing to do? |
I think any two breeds can get along if you take in to consideration the personality of the individual pups. However, I would caution you against getting 2 at the same time because house training will be extra tough! |

ooh, didn't think of all the extra work with training! we just thought it would be easier on the pups if they grew up together and came in at the same time, and there would be no territory issues hopefully! |
I think any breed can get along. I have a schnauzer who is very calm and laid back. So when I was looking for a yorkie pup I picked the calmest pup. All of the min pin's I have been around are very active and hyper. So you want to make sure they will get along well. I also wouldn't do two pups at once. Maybe when one gets about 7-10 months old get the other pup! It would be like having two newborn human twins at the same time :). Possible but very exhausting! |
