I don't think my Yorkie likes me... I don't think my Yorkie likes me... she hardly ever wants to lay with me.. she'll go away from me instead of cuddling next to me most of the time. She bites alot, maybe because she's a puppy. I don't think she likes me =( Sometimes she doesn't want to be held at all. |
I'm sure there will be a day when you will be saying that she is stuck to you like velcro and you can't get her off. Hang in there, they can be little buggers when they are babies. Hugs to you. |
How old is she and how long have you had her? Are you the one that feeds her and trains her? Have you signed up for a dog trainng vlass together? That is always a great way to bond with your yorkie as they love to learn new tricks to please you. :) |
It's probably just her age. If you haven't had her very long she still may be trying to get use to things. She loves you sometimes they just need a little space then watch out you won't be able to do anything without her by your side. :) |

Hon, just give her time. She's just a baby and you've had her no time at all. They do chew and bite a bunch when they are puppies. You will just have to teach her she can't bite. As far as cuddling, when she calms down a bit, and especially by the time she is about 6 months old she will be the lap dog you dreamed of. Don't expect too much at a time. It is just like potty training. It takes awhile. It's the same with potty training a child. It takes awhile. ;) |
She's not biting you! She's teething! It's a puppy thing so don't take it personally! ;) She'll outgrow it. In the meantime make sure she has plenty of toys to chew on. My little Dublin is not a cuddler either. When he goes to sleep though, he lays up against me and lets me wrap around him. I guess that's as good as I'm going to get for now... Meanwhile I got him a girlfriend, and she's a TOTAL cuddle bug!! :p |
When I first posted this she was going crazy.. like all hyper for about an hour and a half. She finally just se ettled down and jumped on the couch with me and came and laid right next to me and I pet her and she was licking me. Then she put her head in between where my arm bends. Now she's sleeping. |
Awwwww...... how sweet. Everyone is right, she is a puppy and she is just too busy to be cuddly right now. As they grow, you will know how much they love you. We know that our Rowdy loves us. BUT, Rowdy does not sit in our laps very much and he does not like to be held, unless he is scared. He loves for my hubby and me to be in the same room together so he can run between the two of us and play with both of us, and there are many many things that he does that tell us he loves us very much. However, he is not yet cuddly, and he doesn't sit in our laps long, if at all. So please don't think she doesn't like you, she does - she's just too busy to show you yet, but she will. Now, with all that I've said about Rowdy not being cuddly and not sitting on our lap - here is a story for you. Last weekend he had to stay with our daughter while we were out of town. He loves my daughter, but he was not real happy about having to stay with her. We went over to her house today and took Rowdy. Well, he sat on our laps THE WHOLE TIME - he never got down. He didn't want us to leave him again - so we know that he loves us very much because he did not let us out of his sight, didn't even let us out of paws reach. Your baby adores you and she will show you in so many ways - just give her time. |
I think you need to play with her. Try to start a game or two. Give her time, she's just a puppy. Hang in there! :) |
Aww See she wants to be with her mommy. |
I agree with the others. She's a baby and babies are selfish. They only think about their needs and desires. But as she grows she will become sensitive to you, just as you are sensitive to her. Then you'll be true companions. |
