Please Pray for Hope
 
Heyy!! Hope is finally getting her dental tomorrow morning!! YAY!! No more rotting teeth inside her mouth and no more smelly breath. However, I'm really worried because she's barely 4 lbs. Please keep her in your prayers. Oh, I also got her blood work results and all seems normal, even her urinalysis. :D Hope is only going to get better and better!

Thanks!! :D It's going to be the first "surgery". I'm worried for her because she gets super scared at the vets every time and she poops and pees out of fear. :(

Hope survived her first "surgery". It doesn't even seem like she knows that she got a dental. When I picked her up at the vet, she ran to me and my bf. Then in the car ride home, she laid in my lap. She was definitely excited to be home!!

So, she got 14 teeth extracted!! Her teeth will forever be stained due to malnutrition from early age. :( The people who did this to her...hope karma comes and get you.

I'm glad she did well. It's too bad she lost so many teeth though. Her mouth should feel much better soon.

Ouch! 14 teeth??? That sounds like an awful lot of teeth. Is she still able to eat solid foods? Sorry for the ignorant question, I'm just curious. I'm glad she did well. It must be a huge relief to you to see everything turned out ok. :)

How ever many teeth she lost, I am sure she will feel better for having lost those awful teeth! I've heard that these toothless babies seem to eat just fine once they heal.

She still eats solid food. I think her rotting teeth were SO painful that she learned to swallow food (I don't know from how long ago). Therefore, having to lose those teeth is good and doesn't change much as she still swallows her food. Of course, I always wet her food so it softens.

I'm so glad that she didn't lose ALL her teeth though! She still got quite a lot of teeth left. =)

I had a rescue Shih Tzu who only had around 6 or 7 teeth. She ate anything and everything. They are not like us who would say "ohhh I only have a few teeth so I can't eat anything solid", they just deal with it. Bless their beautiful hearts.
