I'm feeling sick right now. I'm sorry I got all of you excited for nothing. But I tried. I'm sitting here crying as I called her this morning to tell her I was on my way and she informed me she sold him last night for 50.00 more. I should have known better and pushed harder to find a way last night to get him. I don't drive and have to rely on other people. I'm so upset my greatest fear is he will just be put in cage and used to stud. I'm so upset sorry I let him and all of you down . |
Oh no :( It seems this women only cares about $$. Could you offer her more? Did the other person pick him up already? |

You didn't let anybody down. It wasn't your fault. That lady should have called you when she got the other offer and I'm sure you would have met the other price. Some people are so damn greedy. Too bad your can't find out who bought him and find out the story. Don't beat yourself up. Your intensions were honorable. Maybe you can look into another rescue. There are a whole of of dogs who need forever homes. I wish I could but they won't give me one because I have too many animals. |
Yes I do believe all she wanted was money and didn't care about anything else. he went with the new people last night. I wasnt told anything until I called with our set time that I was on my way. Makes me sick to my stomach. I had an appointment with my vet for on the way back just to make sure he didn't or did need anything and checkup. I think I will go bundle up Andy and go for a walk. Thankyou everyone. We really are there for each other arent we ? |

You cared. You cared enough to try, and you had plans to do so much more. That's what this world needs more of. I'm so sorry you're upset, but I'm also so proud of you for caring enough to be upset. Don't let this stop you from trying to help another little one in need. Maybe there's something you've learned from this that you're meant to use to help another. Big hugs to you, Bonny |

Oh honey, I'm so sorry and my heart is breaking for you. You did not let anyone down! Don't ever feel that way, please. l |
We all do what we can and then we hope for the best when it doesn't work out...no one is let down and perhaps it was someone else who saw the environment and offered more money in the immediate just to get him out of there...I'd focus on that thought. |
I'm so sorry you weren't able to get him. It wasn't your fault. You tried. |
That's horrible (on her part). Hopefully, he found a very good home! |
That's terrible. Promising you one thing and then pulling the rug out from under you. The only good news is that person doesn't have the dog anymore. If the new owner is half as caring as you are, the pup's in for a great life. That happened to me once, but the original owner called back a week later and said he was returned. Turned out to be the best dog I ever owned. |
You know that is so sad. It is sad that she neglected the doggie, and just to sell him to the highest bidder. Do not feel bad, You were doing the right thing, and that my friend will reap rich rewards. |
Maybe she would agree to give the new owner your phone number in case that one decides he is not working out and wants to make her money back - with some people you just never know. Some people just buy on impulse and then 3 weeks down the road find out these babies take more than love - they take time, effort, work and money, too. They can be quite demanding. Some new owners are just unprepared and if she knew she had an out - well. We can hope. And I do hope he goes to you as you sound like a true dog lover and I have no idea about that other lady's qualifications. |
:aimeeyork:animal36Thank you that was so awsome to resuce & give a loving & caring home!:animal-pa:) |
