Hello everyone. Some Might Know That I Have Been Having A Problem With Fleas In The Yard. I Was Online And I Came Across Orkin Flea Free Pest Control.Has Anyone Use This Before? I Have Tried Just About Everything To Control This Problem. I Stay In Alabama, Im Trying To Get A Start On This Early..

I haven't tried it, but have had problems in my yard as well. Feral cats keep dropping em off in my back yard, & was frustrated that I had to keep up with treatments even in the winter months. My dogs basically stay in the house & fenced in back yard.

I switched from heartguard monthly heart-worm preventative to Sentinel & it seemed to stop the problem. Sentinel is a monthly heart-worm & flea preventative. It's rather expensive but then so is advantix (sp), Frontline & other flea medicines out there.

As a side note, not sure if the lull in fleas is the Sentinel I started, or the fact that everything was iced over for 2 weeks.

I say if the treatment is free, or inexpensive I would give it a try. Just make sure it's safe for your babies.

I use Frontline on them. while the weather is nice i try to get them out the house as much as i can they love to play in our yard.. i have two biewers and one yorkie. and they are having a problem. my vet did say that i might need to change the flea control.

I had to switch off Frontline when I used it too...it seems not to work after awhile. I think the lil buggers get immune so switching brands helps.

I was having quite a problem last year and the fleas were immune to Frontline and K9 Advantix. What turned it around for me was Comfortis (a pill/treat). It is fast acting, and they say works for 30+ days, but in my case it was so effective I didn't use again for almost 3 months. I will use it again when I see fleas, but not until. Also I love not having that oily top spot stuff on them, which I feel transfers to me, my bed, and everything.

I don't know about yard spray though.

My dogs get the sentinel which is the heartworm/flea pill. The flea part actually steralizes the flea so they can't reproduce. Well, when my dogs had their recent checkup my vet was telling me there is a new product out there and it is called something about the "trifecta." It is heartworm/flea prevention. We don't currently have a flea problem, so I didn't opt for the treatment, but it might be something to look into. The new product I think, controls heartworm, steralizes the flea just by contact, and if they bite the dog it kills it, hence trifecta. Now, that was a couple of weeks ago so someone may want to help me out here, or do a little more research on it, but if I had a flea problem, I think this is what I would look into a little more.
