I am so excited.......!!!!!!!! I just received an email from the breeder I bought my last babies from and she has a 3 pound 8 month old little boy who is absolutely gorgeous, that she would not place in just any home ........ My heart is saying yes yes yes....although, I am hesitant for all the obvious reasons with two other dogs here ! Once I saw the dear little face , he is the picture of my little girl....*sigh I always worry I won't have enough love to go around lol and he is sooo smalllllll Help I need advice !!! lol abbie506 |
If your only worry is not having enough LOVE then I say GO for it!! Of course you'll have enough!! I had 2 for the last 2 years...and just adopted a 10 yr. old that has stolen my heart!!! They find their place in your home and heart...and as long as you can afford him.. his food...vet.. etc..then I say GO FOR IT!!:D |
I say go for it. You will have plenty of love. Can't wait to see pictures. |
Like Wabbit said, as long as you can afford it, it sounds like a good plan! I would love a 3rd but I really want to be sure I can afford any future vet bills that I would need to pay for to keep my current 2 furbabies healthy. I would hate to have to make a horrible choice just because I couldn't afford the bill. |
one more question.... I want to get your opinions on the following... Do you feel that Male's are not generally as "clean" as females? Just curious.... |
I've only had male dogs so I don't know if females are cleaner than males. I think you would have plenty of love to go around for another pup. If you can afford it, then listen to your heart! Good luck with yourr decision. Let us know what you decide. |
Both of mine are potty trained and are clean in general. My girl Rio actually starts to get that peepee smell sooner because she has a full coat and the pee gets on her long hair. My boy bullet has a short cut so he doesn't get that peepee smell. Plus he was neutered before he learned to lift his leg to pee so he doesnt have a problem with pee getting on him. I have to bathe Rio more often than Bullet. |
My male is just as clean if not more clean than my female... I think it all depends on the dog, not the sex. I say go for it!! We want to see pictures... |
I agree if you can afford another go for it. I was worried when I brought Nikki in to my home as I had 3 females and I was afraid he would mark. He is the best trained of all of mine. He always uses the pee pads. He does need a bath sooner than my girls because he is in full coat and gets smelly quicker. |
you know the love will be there, as long as finacially you can do it then go for it... you know these little ones just steal your heart... as far as cleanliness, Rocco is the first male dog i have owned and i have had 4 females prior to him and he is just as clean if not cleaner then the females.... wish you all the best!! |
If you weren't ready for a third one when the breeder contacted you, then I'd say don't do it just because he's tiny and looks like your girl. Could be he isn't trained, or has some issues. You may get more than you bargain for. If you do get him, then make up a contract for the breeder to sign, (give her the copy and you keep the original) that you get to take him to your Vet. for evaluation, and then a trial run of two weeks before deciding to keep him. Good luck. |
