I did learn of the statistics...and they aren't good with IMHA..it is NOT an instant death sentence.....stat's aren't great...but dogs can and do recover with treatment....except for those dogs who's owners can't afford to even begin treatment...then I guess it is a death sentence.. No, the odds are not good in the beginning but if caught early like in the case of this dog then the outcome is better. Don't know what the dogs weight was but if it would have been a bigger Yorkie then it would even have a better chance. In the end, the dog is not suffering any more.
To the OP.....I am so sorry you had to go through this. It is very hard to lose a pet and especially one at such a young age. My thoughts and prayers are with you. |
