Yorkie Splash and Shine

Anyone use Yorkie Splash and Shine? I'm about to order the set of shampoo, conditioner and detangler but I wanted to know if it really is better than most shampoos out there? Right now I use a tear-free shampoo I got at Petsmart for puppies, but I would really love to keep Oliver's coat nice and healthy. Also, is the conditioner along with the shampoo necessary? I was always told too much product on yorkies may dry out their skin? Just wanted to see some reviews on these items before I commit to purchasing, thanks!

Here's the website: Yorkie Splash and Yorkie Shine | Yorkie Shampoo and Yorkie Conditioner

I've tried many shampoos and conditioners on my yorkie, including splash and shine. Honestly I wasn't impressed with it. There are better products out there in my opinion.

I really like Splash and Shine shampoo. I use the foamer bottle with it. The conditioner is ok but I like PEK the best. They have a small size you can order and try it out before committing to a big bottle. Hope you like it as much as we do!

I use it and really like it, but truthfully, I haven't used a lot of products to compare it too. I'm getting really low on product now, so I either have to reorder, or try something new!

Kellie any recs?, I may try something different this time

I use it for Lily. I could tell a difference in her coat when I ran out and had to use something else.

I contacted them about rosemary oil in their formula-Elvis is epileptic...long story short they are really nice people, and other people with epileptic Yorkies have used it without incident...be careful if you have this issue.
Also many people with cotton coat Yorkies say it leaves a waxy feeling on the fur...but that was the only negative I've heard about it.
Get the sample package...trial set.

What is the website to order PEK products...the only one I could find was a basic site that didn't allow anyone to enter --- does anyone have a web address that goes to where a person can order the PEK products?
Thanks!

I believe this is the company for PEK
PEK Conditioner : Iv San Bernard (USA & Canada), Fine Italian Pet Grooming Products and Equipment

I have used yorkie splash n shine for a while now.. n i absolutely love the results!! i tried a lot of shampoos for lola before n none of them left her coat looking n smelling sooo good. I could tell a difference in her coat right the first time i used it. i would def give it a try!!!

Thanks for the feedback! Even though Oliver is almost 11 months, I STILL don't know if he has a silky or a cotton coat lol. The hair on his head seems wiry (and silky) but he's still a furball and his coat is fluffy...I still may try it though :) Thanks!

I love Chris Christensen products. Clean Start and After Bath for clarifying and Day to Day for more frequent bathing. I've also heard great things about Spectrum 10 and Hypro pac but have yet to try those.

This is the website where you can order PEK conditioner:

Iv San Bernard (USA & Canada), Fine Italian Pet Grooming Products and Equipment

In order to place an order (because this is a wholesale website) you have to set up an account, which has to be verified (happens quickly) and then you must order a minimum of $75 worth of product. Jencar98 got it set up so that Yorkie Talk members could order directly off the website because the products are not widely available in the US yet.

Ooops, just saw the duplicate post of the web address - sorry!

I've noticed the Yorkie Splash & Shine but I've yet to try it. I use Minksheen on my furbaby and don't have any complaints. I like that it's a shampoo, conditioner and insect repellent all in one, so I don't have to bother with multiple products around the tub.

I am truly feeling very uneducated. I read this thread this morning and have since done research on epilepsy and rosemary oil. Thank you for pointing this out. I had no idea an epileptic dog should not be around rosemary oil.

concretegurl 02-24-2011 05:53 PM

Specifically Rosemary...in any form...we had to take the rosemary bush out of the yard...actually that's so funny I was looking at dog boots (please pm me when you get those sock in!) many months ago because the yard was such a mud pit this winter over us removing that bush and several other questionable ones...this link is awesome and I have emailed them many many times for advice...

Thanks. I'll check out that link. I'll let you know when I have the socks. I'm spending absurd amounts of time researching because I'm trying to find socks for large dogs as well.
