Sleeping? Jed is 13 weeks. It seems like he is sleeping ALOT! What would you call "normal" amount of time spent sleeping for a pup this size? His is eating and drinking fine. Poo & pee is fine. (only occasional accident) He sleeps with me and DH at night. Usually he wants to go to bed by 8:30. Gets up 2 times during the night to do his pottie thing, then wants to sleep till about 9:30! Follows me around the house while I clean and straighten up, we have several play times because I just can't stand those eyes begging me to get down there with him! As soon as I stand still or sit down he either lays in his bed, or at my feet, (if I am still) or he wants in my lap. |
My little Bentley is 12 weeks and sleeeps alot also. He also follows me around the house while I clean and pick up. We play and play tug of war with his toys. In the evening I try and keep him up so he will sleep at night. ( still working on that) Welcome to YT your little baby is adorable!!!:):animal36 |
At 13 weeks he is still a baby and will sleep a lot. If his eating, drinking, pooping, and normal activity level is ok, then I'm sure you are fine. IF he starts not eating or diarrhea, or anything else, I would run him in. Also, has he been in to the vet for his well puppy check?? If not I would do so ASAP. :D Good luck with your baby!!! He is a cutie!!! |
Sounds pretty normal to me. Kody is 12 weeks and sleeps a lot as well. I try to keep it him up as late possible at night - at least until I turn in - which is around 8:30 or 9:00. He gets up for a potty between 11:30 - 12:30am. Then up like clockwork at 5:00 a.m. - when I start getting everybody ready for work and/or school. He potty pee/poo - eat breakfast and then back to sleep around 8:00 a.m. until around 11:30. |
Yep! Sounds perfectly normal and....enjoy it while you can!! Haha :p |
Yes he has been to the vet and she told us he was a very healthy pup. He got started on his shots then too. Tuesday he is due for his second shot. With our beagle pups we always gave two shots before letting the pups come in contact with the grass/dirt/ground. Hopefully after tuesday we will be able to introduce Jed to the outdoors! The we can start working on going outside to pottie instead of the piddle pads all the time. :animal36 Thanks for all the replies and for them coming so quickly! I figured it was pretty normal. But as I have said before, he sure is different than a beagle pup! :) |
