Donating Food To Rescues If there are rescue people in the Deer Park Long Island New York areas that are interested, I have three cases of Pedigree Puppy Food that I had gotten for my dogs but they wont eat it and I hate to see it go to waste. I know that Pedigree isn't the top of the line maybe it would help. |
If there is a Petsmart or Petco, call them as they would know. Also, your Bet would also most likely know. Or, just ado a google in your area |

Shelters are also always in need of food and always appreciative of whatever they get. Do you know if there's one near you? |
How about a animal shelter? We donate newspaper, sometimes food and old towels to our shelter. |
Shelters are the best to donate to since they aren't funded by any rescue group and are always in need. I blankets, large size milk bones and large cans of peanut butter. (they use the peanut butter to give meds.). |
Yes good way to go! We give 200 a year in dog food to our shelter. People don't realize they have limited funding from the goverment so you will be helping a doggie to live a few more weeks for the right person to come along to save them. shelters have to put so many asleep due to lack of space and food to feed them. The babies their need your help the most . Great thing your doing too. Thanks for helping rescues /shelters. I wish I could save them all. But saving one or two is better than none. Blessings |
our local humane society welcomes food donations. I donated the purina puppy food my pups breeder supplied to them & they were extremely grateful for it. |
I get coupons in the mail for free bags of dog food from a local feed store. So I go and get the bag of food and take it straight over to the humane society since it is not the kind I feed. I hate to see that free food go to waste too. Which ever way you go, rescue or humane society, that is very kind of you. |
