We brought her home on Friday 1 Attachment(s) Well we picked up Mia up on Friday; She looks just like a Yorkie but black. She is 3 lbs and just a love!!! She followes me everywhere. The Mastiff's don't even bother her. She has a little white marking on her chest. She even has the long coat that you would see on a yorkie. Also looks like there is some blue on the tips. Anyway, what ever she is mixed with, we are blessed to have her. The beginning of her life was not that wonderful. Where she was born, nobody took care of her, and when she went to the 2nd house, her nails were so long that they were in her pads. The 2nd house kepted her kenneled all day, because she ran a daycare. Then off to the 3rd house. The only reason this gal had to re-home her is because she was not home often enough. So now we have her. Can't wait to buy some stuff for her. Any recommendations on Harnesses, hair bows, clothing. I am used to mastiffs so this will be fun. |

What a cutie pie!! Walmart used to have cute clothes for reasonable prices but the one near me doesn't have many dog clothes any more. I buy really cute bows at Gymboree for kids, they are adorable and they are usually on sale. Good luck with your little one, I'm glad she found you and will have a good life now!! |
Mia is just adorable!!! You're going to have SO MUCH FUN with such a little baby!! I find a LOT of my clothes, bows, etc. off of ebay!! Just watch people that have HIGH shipping fees....:rolleyes: |

Mia is a doll :D I can tell you what we use for Sophie. Harness- from YT member Chattiesmom-they are really well made with a strong clasp and she makes beautiful matching leashes. Shampoo and Conditioner-Yorkie Splash & Shine from YT member Walnut Hill. It makes Sophie's hair shiny, soft, and smells great. Food- Wellness Small Breed Kibble- it's all natural. Groomer I would guess you will also be looking for a groomer in your area, unless you are talented enough to do a yorkie haircut. :pI know I am not. She looks adorable and I am sure she will be grateful for all you will do for her. Bless you for taking her. |

YUP I can not wait to get her professionally groomed. I was actually looking at Amazon.com, they have the puppia harnesses, very cute and also very resonable. We feed Fromm for food, this is also a good food with no fillers. |

She is such a cutie pie!! Congrats on saving her from her prior life... I bet she will have a wonderful life with you. I think she is going to look WONDERFUL once she has a yorkie hair cut and a cute little bow in her hair. Just make sure when you take her to the groomers you are very specific and tell them you want to keep her topknot.. so she can wear a bow. Walmart & Petsmart have some great starter clothes and then there are wonderful venders here!!! So happy Mia has found a forever home.. She may be all Yorkie and just have a very dark coat. What ever she is , she sure is adorable! <3 |

She is just the cutest little girl. I've always LOVED the dark ones and she just melts my heart. Poor little tiny girl sure got off on a rocky start. I'm sure there will be a few ups and downs before she realizes she isn't going anywhere and that she is "home" for good. Yes, as for harnesses, I highly recommend the the silk step in harnesses & matching leashes that Chattiesmom makes. Lots of color choices and with or without Swarvorski crystals. These help to keep the coat from matting. Be careful with puppia harnesses. They do tend to come up too close to the throat, and cause coughing. It puts too much pressure on the trachea and can cause the trachea to collapse. My Zada is suffering from this now. There are other step in harnesses on the market, and it's the only type I'll use for my girls. |
Thanks for the advice on Puppia. How do I get a hold of "Chatties mom". I would like a harness for walking and just a normal collar for around the house. I also saw the bows on here from (I can't remember her name) But those are really cute as well. |

Chattiesmom made Ziva's matching collar and harness in November- no more broken hairs around her neck- the silk is great and beautiful too! We keep a bell and tag on Ziva's collar in the house and the harness with her Rabies/license for when she's out. |
She looks exactly like my grandma's dog Tiny she had when I was little! He was the same looked completely Yorkie but was all black too ...he was probably a poodle mix but had super straight hair-no way of knowing someone dumped him and another dog (Trixy you could tell she was a poodle mix) on her front porch in a box that was way back in the 80's...
