Tats.... Miss Lizzie has a different type of fur than Mr. Darcy. I use Hartz Puppy Shampoo on both of them and then Wahl Conditioner. Mr. Darcy has few to none in the way of matts, Miss Lizzie keeps getting more - I give her a bath, with these products, then blow her dry, then comb her out. She has more matts tonight than this morning....Anyone have any advice????:confused: |
You need to use a conditioner but even still some yorkies hair can still matt. I use pantene and it leaves my girls hair smooth. If her hair is long I still have to brush her everyday to keep the matts from coming |
Use a detangler before brushing and before bathing to shampoo and always a conditioner Yorkie's have more so hair than fur so even if it's short it can tangle especially for those that have a cottony coat...I also use Marrakesh Oil every once in awhile (yes my own that is made to be used on people) but honestly I'm very concerned about using anything that is scented on dogs too because they have such a heightened sense of smell I just think it's rude to perfume them. |

two words PEK Conditioner!:thumbup::thumbup: |
Back to Tats! What is PEK conditioner- also I wonder if I should be the one to comb out the tats because I don't want her to associate hurting to me- she cries out everytime I try to deal with one. What about the baby shampoo? What about Wahl conditioner and detangler? So many questions!!!! I just want her to have the happiest life I can give her. By the way, it seems to be an undercoat that tangles... |
Sounds like she has a cotton coat. I use Ruff Out, everyday before brushing. Smells like Baby powder. :) EZ Groom Ruff Out Finishing Spray - Ready To Use - Cherrybrook |
