Daisy did great at the vet! We just got back from the vet! She did really well :) she weighs more than originally thought....5.3 lbs. Did an ear mite test, but was negative. She got them cleaned really well though (and does NOT like the drops in there...keeps shaking her head!) I would hold her, then she would want to get down, shake, then come back to me and get on her hind legs to be picked up. Thatzs the most social she's been so far. I melted!!!!!!!! I made the male nurse hold her for her rabies and distemper/parvo shot. She was NOT happy, but then momma held her and kissed her. Overall was a healthy check. Goes back in 1-2 weeks for a heartwarm test. Only bad news was she needs alot of dental work :( The estimate was around $300. Needs a real deep cleaning and possibly a few pulled :( Im going to call around for some more estimates too. So overall, a great visit. she's resting now as dr said she'd be sore from shots. |

I see the word Daisy and I jump to the thread Oh that is so wonderful that you have that much behind you. You might do alittle better on the dental but be sure they do figure the price of the blood work etc total cost. You certainly are such a good person and hoping for success in this for you as much as Daisy. :aimeeyork |

Just be careful that the vet you use understands small dogs. You can do a little research on this but it is suggested to only use Isoflorine & IV Fluides for anesthesia. Some small dogs have died using other products. I do know that my friend almost lost her 7lb Yorkie this way. Luckily they were able to bring her back. Hope this helps.
