I'm so glad Lexi is doing fine. Keep us posted |
Now don't worry but she will look a little messy and also act like she was drugged, which she was. Just put her in her bed in a quite room with water and she will be fine. Usually they don't want to eat but usually the next day they are back to their old self. :p |
I am glad to hear that Lexi did well with her surgery. I hope she does as well as Sophie did. Sophie was trying to jump on furniture the same day we brought her home. She had me in a panick but I was glad to see she wasn't in to much pain. They are tough little boogars. |

Im glad that Lexi did well on her surgery. She will be back to her old self by tomorrow. Let her rest and follow your vets intructions. Please keep us posted how she is doing. Gucci sends Lexy lots of puppy kisses. |
How wonderful to hear. I hope you will be able to post tomorrow how surprised you are that she is doing SOOOO well!!! |
WONDERFUL NEWS !! now you can stay up all night watching her like I did !! |
My vet won't let you take a puupy home until the next day after spaying even though no one is there aal night! Do you think I can ask to take her home the night they spay her, I will sign a release or waiver. I will stay up all night and watch her they won't. I'm glad Lexi's home and doing well! |
I am very glad to hear the good news about Lexi . |
glad lexie is ok...she will be her old self in a day or two. Keep us posted |
Patti: If no one will be there to watch her then why must she stay overnight? If something goes wrong who will be there? It's rare for anything to go wrong after a spay/neuter. I would request...nicely demand to take my baby home as soon as the anesthesia wears off . Give them pain meds that your vet has. She will do fine. Genie |

I would have a discussion with your vet to see if he could do the surgery 1st thing in the morning and stay at the office until close and then you take him/her home for a number of reasons. 1. Your baby has not eaten since "what ever time he told you" and little ones need to eat more than once a day. 2. The diseases the other dogs could have at his office 3. Little ones could be frightened by all the strange animals around them. 4. Since no one is there anyways what is the point 5. You will watch him/her alot closer than a busy office Now having said all of this if your vet insists and you trust his decision then your little one will probably be sleeping the whole night through anyways.
