UPS and Fedex-what does your yorkie do when he/she sees them? Jamie loves the UPS and Fedex trucks. We get quite a few packages at home and Jamie runs to look out the window when she thinks she hears the delivery trucks. She gets really excited when they stop and ring the bell. But today, I found out that she actually knows the words. My DH asked me if UPS was coming today and Jamie went straight to the window. Then we tried it with Fedex and she did the same thing. Funny those words she knows. "Come" not so much. Or actually she probably does know come but doesn't care to obey. |
Callie just about for anyone she sees come up to the house she will stand with her front feet on the window sill and her tail will wag like crazy. She is so used to getting bones shipped to us I guess, because she will not let a box just sit in our house she will sit next to it and cry and cry until someone opens it and shows her whats in it |
How cute! My boys think the UPS and FedEx trucks are monsters that have to be defeated. :p Teddy in particular loves to do battle with the big brown UPS beast. He got out of the house once and chased it down the driveway into the street. My neighbor asked what Teddy thought he was going to do with it when he caught it, lol. We can laugh now, but is was scary. |
I think my 2 understand UPS also. lol We have the nicest UPS guy; he's a big burly guy who is the kindest person. He knows to take the position of catcher whenever the door opens. lol |
My boys go nuts! They watch out a side window on 1 side of the house. When they hear a delivery truck, they run to the front of the house barking. I have a window adjacent to the front door with a hassock under it. The boys jump on there and watch and bark. I have delivery trucks come to my house almost every day and they drop the packages about 2 feet from their little noses. Cooper barks continually. Max is now trained to bark a few times and then come to me in another room to get his treat (because he stopped barking). I'm going to try to get my postal carrier help me a little with training. |
Mine grow horns and longer fangs and claw the window to get at that poor man. I know Azrael would try and eat him alive. |

We have a buzzer by our mail and paper boxes. My boys have learned to bark when it goes off, but when the paper is delivered in the "wee hours" , all I have to say is "its the Paper Lady!" and they quiet down right away. |
