sleep patterns we have a 2yr yorkiepoo who was crated for 6mo then moved to our bed..we adopted a 2 mo morkie and she cries constantly in the grate so last night she slept with us..any suggestions? |
Both of mine sleep with me...I would not have it any other way, so I have no suggestions for you..:D |
Same here. Buddy sleeps with us and we don't even know he's there. |
Glad to know someone else has there furbaby sleeping with them. Jed moved to our bed (upon husbands request!) after three days of being in the crate. He just felt sorry for him  So far its working pretty good. He starts to squirm, we get up, he goes potty, we go back to bed.:D Jed is almost 12 weeks. |
all my yorkies have always slept with me. My new rescue Savannah sleeps with me and if someone told her different even after a few short weeks...she'd make a fuss...lol She likes to snuggle close to me closer to wake up time but her favorite spot. she get on the big sham pillow...digs and digs...then burrows herself between that pillow and my middle pillow and likes her head near mine. Saturday morning I felt near my belly and she wasn't there and I popped up to find her 12 inches from me on her back with her paws over the duvet like a little person..lol |
My baby sleeps with me and has been since he was about 3 months old haha. I kept him in a crate while he was teeny tiny but couldn't bear to hear him cry at night so I finally brought him into bed. He's so used to it now and even had his sleep spot. I wouldn't have it any other way!! :) |
sleeping I was concerned that she' 10 wks but she'll sleep in crate during the day..no problem..but night..wants to be with the family..thats fine! she slept from 11p till 530am no accidents! just a cuddle bug! |

All I can say is you've now set the precedence - if she whines, she gets to come out. If you don't mind, then there isn't a problem. They are like children...and it's a matter of who can hold out the longest. Our newest Yorkie cried, whined, whimpered something terrible the first couple nights...we learned which was the gotta go potty cry - and which was her attempting to dictate the arrangement. She quit. It only took a 2-3 nights until she figured out we didn't abandon her and we were there for her. All of ours having "night sleeping" crates (which they never go near during the day!!!) - they know their bed time, look forward to it, all is peace and quiet by 7:30-8:30 each night for us to enjoy some just people and/or tv time. I think they appreciate the routine. We do have all but two of them in the bedroom with us and if they do whimper (& I know they don't have to go potty) then I just say something like, 'go back to sleep' in a soothing voice and they do. Just decide the routine you want and follow it, they'll adjust...they, again like children really are looking for a 'leader' (so seems it with mine) |
My two have both slept with me since they came home. Good luck! |
ZoE has slept with me since she was 6 1/2 weeks old. I tried for a couple of nights having her sleep in her crate next to my bed, but she just cried & cried, and I was up constantly holding her, not to mention the middle of the night feedings. Then I worried that it was stressing her out too much when she was so young & might cause anxiety problems, so I took her to bed with me one night when I was absolutely exhausted, and she went right to sleep snuggled up next to me...she's been there ever since :) Not a single accident in my bed, she just wakes me up once in the middle of the night now to go pee & then back to sleep she goes. Now, I'd miss her if she wasn't there....not sure who's training who here  |

lmao oh your not alone |
Both of ours sleep with us. I have Becca with me, given that I don't have to work anymore, and can deal with middle of the night puppyness and kisses :D |
