Hello, want to show you my Toby ;) I'm fairly new here. Joined in September but haven't been on here much. I have a little bit of trouble moving about this site. anyway I am a new Yorkie mom and I love him to death!! I had no idea these dogs were so much work but also they are soooo lovable and soooo much fun. Everyone in my family is thrilled with him. My Toby will be a year old next month. I got him at 4 mths. He has grown so fast. He is finally potty trained and listens. He knows a few commands but I am still having trouble finding him a food that he will eat without my assistance. I usually always have to hand feed him but only his food. When our chihuahua dog eats..he wants it! My cat is eating her food--he wants it!!! Everyone's food but his! Why are Yorkie's sooo picky? He currently eats Ultramix but he eats it when he sees he is not getting anything else or when I hand feed him. My little boy is spoiled but I love and enjoy him very much!!! |
welcome to yt, congrats on your baby toby, mine are very picky eaters, due to me givin them human food:rolleyes: wrong thing to do, i feed mine on royal canine,[for yorkies] and believe me i have tried everything else, i mix a little big of wet food with their dry and that works, no more human food.plenty of great advise on here , have fun:D |
I do the same. I mix a little Royal Canine for Yorkshire Terriers dry dog food with a little ( about a teaspoon) of wet dog food and, when they are being really picky, I add a teaspoon of chicken broth . They eat it right up. |
Give Toby big hugs...just hang in there you will be all over the place here soon and if you need some help you are at the right place..everyone is very willing :) |
Off topic...I just looked at your album and I think Toby is so darn cute! |
Thank you all for the advice! Much appreciated. I have not tried the Royal Canine yet. Will look into that. This is such a great site...time flies with all the info here! |
