Remy is 4 pounds!!!!
 
My little Remy has gained a few ounces. She is now 4 lbs well really 3 lbs 14 oz but close enough!!! I am very happy because she was so skinny before. Remy is 13 months old.. she was a pound at 8 weeks.. a little more when I brought her home. Now she is my little piggie:p

Sugar is going to catch up to her if she keeps demanding seconds and thirds on her meals - I guess I shouldn't make them so yummy when I cook ;)

Awe yay Remy! I have a little boy, Remy. He will be 6 months old tomorrow and weighs about 4.5 lbs:-)

Ha ha, this is so funny - she was so picky before until her mommy cooked for her! She is a good girl.

Remy is a little girl, like my Princess. I keep hoping Princess will someday gain to reach atleast 4 lbs. She was only 1 1/2 lbs. when I brought her home at almost 12 weeks. Only weighs 3 lbs. 8 oz. now, at 1 year.

It's so funny to hear people talk about how they want their dog to gain weight when so many people out there want their dogs to stay tiny! I always thought I wanted a Yorkie that would be 3 lbs full grown, but I can honestly say I am so glad mine is bigger than that. If he was small he wouldn't be able to play with our Basset without me worrying and that would be awful because I want them to be companions. He was only about 3 lbs when I got him at 12 weeks, and now he is 5 lbs at 24 weeks. I would be a nervous wreck if he was smaller. It would be okay if he was the only dog in the house. I don't know how big he will get but the breeder estimated 5-6 lbs. I always thought I wanted a so-called "teacup" size dog but I'm definitely glad I don't have one, although I wouldn't mind if mine stayed right at 5 lbs :-)

I know what you mean!! I have had people say to me... oh no let her stay small!! What I care about is is she is the correct weight for her bone structure. I am so glad she gained a bit because she was so bony you could count her ribs..come on... a 4 or 5 lb pup is still very small !!!

You're right, a 4-5 lb pup is small to me! My breeder said 5-6 lbs for my dog, but who really knows? I really didn't want a 10 lb dog so I hope he doesn't get much bigger than 5-6 lb, but of course I'm going to love him no matter what size he is!

I agree. My daughter's little girl is 3.8 lbs. She looks itty bitty, and she is! But when you pick her up her bones are sooo tiny, but she is actually quite healthy. The breeder thought she would be 6-7 pounds, but she is over a year old so I don't see it happening. She has gained hardly any weight since my daughter got her. Kind of ironic - she wanted a "bigger" dog and got a smaller one. It's usually the other way around.

Yes! I found a foolproof way to get her to go from turning her nose up at food to barking and whining and being a "clock watcher" for dinner time LOL
