Pee stains Does anyone know how to get dried pee stains out of a carpet?? I'm moving out of my apartment soon and I know they are going to do a walkthrough and I have a few stains from when Oliver was really little that I just can't seem to scrub out with regular resolve or pet sprays :( I'm worried they are going to charge me for replacing the entire carpet and I'm not sure if hiring someone to do it will work so I'd like to try and do it myself. Any suggestions?? |
I would hire a professional carpet cleaning service. They can get just about any stain out, especially pee stains. ;) Then the carpet will be spotless, smell so nice and look terrific. |

I don't know if this will help but... When I had cats one of them pee on our sofa. I Googled for help and found a site that said Listerine. The enzyme in Listerine "ate" the protein in the cat urine. It worked... I poured a full bottle... let it set. No smell, not stains. Don't know if it works with dog pee though. |
Eeeek!! Good to know and thanks so much! I don't mind paying for it as long as its guaranteed to come out! :) Wouldn't want to pay a professional just to have pay for the carpet to be replaced anyway, thanks again! :) |

Oh I should mention...my carpets are white lol. |
I used it soon -- like the next day or so. It did work in that case. Does the stain show? I don't know if the Listerine would remove stain.. but it is worth a try. Do try a small spot first to be sure it doesn't discolor the carpet |
