Beware! Just wanted to let everyone know to keep a close eye on your account. Someone figured out my password and has been in my account. I know this because it said I was last on last night at 10:06pm. I was in bed then because I hurt my leg and had taken a pain pill. I think I know who it is, there has been this psyco harassing me. Best bet I am going to police...again. |
Oh, how creepy. Thanks for the warning. |
That's awful. Have you contacted an admin, too? |
Thank you for the warning. Some people have nothing better to do I guess. |
Going to write them next. To be honest I thought it was finally safe to get back on line. This person has hijacked email account after email account of mine, sent harassing text, from a computer so it really can't be traced. I stayed off computers for about a year cause of this jerk |

Anything done on a computer can be traced, every key stroke. :) |
Are you sure your account was hacked into and it's not just the time zone difference? Were you online last night at all or just not at the time it stated? If just not the time it stated then maybe it's a time zone difference issue. |

For them to have hacked into so many of your accounts, there might be a keystroke logger on your computer. There are online tools (free) that you can use to detect and remove keystroke loggers. However, if I were like you with such a huge amount of problems from this person, I would get a computer security professional to come in and look for loggers, and get them to set you up with as much security as possible. |
Have you reported this "jerk" that you think hacked into your account to police? Even if you dont have total proof start a file.. add to it as it happens so you have all your documentation Is this a personal thing or random? I wish you luck in getting the problem fix.. hopefully it really isn't a problem and just a "comptuer" glich on the time report!!. |
Rather than re-type this, please see my post here: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/off...ml#post3376707 Also, if you have a wireless network, be sure to use a good security protocol, and a good network key. It is relatively easy to track computers activity across an insecure network. Example here: Firefox Extension Allows Anyone to Steal Logins over Insecure Wireless Networks - Softpedia |
This is very likely. I would say it definately sounds like you have a keystroke logger on your machine! (Although I am no expert, I'm married to one and I hear a lot!). You need to get your machine rebuilt...even if you change your password, they will be able to harvest it again. Definitely, especially, don't do any financial transactions (banking, shopping, etc.) until you have this done! I would watch your accounts if you have been doing anything financial online recently. YES, this happened to me too...on Maltese Talk. There was a thread on that I knew didn't start. It made me sound horrible. I asked the moderators to remove it before too many people posted on it. I changed my pswrd too...and continue to change it all the time...on both sites. Remember to change your pswrd once a week or so. |
Change your password to something random which has nothing to do with you or your life, something like bluespikeybanana and throw in some random numbers or the odd spelling mistake too. You could always write your password down and stick it to the side of your computer screen so you wont forget it. The more crazy your password is the harder it is for someone to guess it! |
