Ruby's Spay Hi, everyone. Tomorrow Ruby goes in for her spay and to have a couple of baby teeth pulled and a cleaning. She is just over a year old. I waited this long because I wanted her to get some weight on her. She is now 3.4 pounds. So it was now or never. I'm already a nervous wreck and am just staying poitive. Please send positive thoughts/prayers for Ruby. Thank you |
Keeping Little Ruby in my prayers....:D |

I'll pray for your precious Ruby! She is so cute...she is smiling in your avatar picture! She'll be smiling again soon! They recover very quickly. Hugs to you. It is scary and I know how you are feeling! |
Thank you, all! I'll let everyone know how she is tomorrow afternoon. |
From our 3lb Ruby to yours.....good luck tomorrow and try not to worry (easier said than done, I know!)♥ |
Ruby and I want to thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers. She is home now and is resting. Her surgery went well and she is fine, just tired. I am so relieved this is over and done with. I'll be feeling even better when she's running around causing trouble. :) |
I'm sorry I missed this, but I'm happy she did well and is home safe and sound with mommy. It is a huge relief to have it over!:) |
prayers for ruby and a speedy recovery |
I'm glad that Ruby is home and all went well. I hope she's feeling better each day! |
I am so glad to hear that all went well and fine with Ruby's surgery and that she is home and doing good. Sending good vibes for a fast recovery. |
Great to hear Ruby did well! I know you must be so relieved. |
Our Maya will be going through this process of spaying in a few months. Could you share your experience. Everything/Anything your can share would be greatly appreciated. I am so nervious just thinking about her having surgery and then bring her home with stitches. I am glad to hear everything when well and that Ruby is well. Thank you |
I for one was a wreck the day Zoe went in. I went shopping and brought the wrong shopping cart to the wrong store. I forgot where I parked my car and then when I found my car I realize I had locked my keys inside. I had to call my friend to bring my other set of keys. I dropped a whole carton of eggs all over the floor because my hands were shaking so bad. I was a total mess. Everything will be fine. Most of the time they use self dissolving stitches you just have to watch to make sure she doesn't bite on them. She's gonna be very groggy when she comes home and will probably want to sleep but that's what she needs and a couple of days later she'll be back to herself. Just remember you're doing what's best for the dog. That's how I got through it. I'm glad that Ruby is well and back home again and Maya will be fine also. |
you will be fine:rolleyes: I speak from experience  Remy just had her op last week, and four teeth pulled. Remy is also a year, and 3.5 lbs. I waited due to her having an early heat and wanting some weight on her -- like you. You trust your vet.. so all will be fine. But sending good thoughts and well wishes. I know you will be nervous anyway:eek: |
Thank you so much for share your experience and the information was very helpful. I am pleased to hear all went well. Thank you very much:animal-pa |
