Silver absolutely loves snow. She would stay out until she turned into an ice cube if I would let her!! This is Silver and one of my parents dogs, Lucy. http://i840.photobucket.com/albums/z...icture2274.jpg Silver hopping through snow. http://i840.photobucket.com/albums/z...icture2278.jpg Looks like she is about to go face first into the snow. http://i840.photobucket.com/albums/z...icture2229.jpg |

My 3 have never seen snow, in their whole little lives (age ranges 1 1/2 to 2 1/2)...We're supposed to get snow, late tonight and tomorrow, and I'm wondering what their reaction, tomorrow morning, for potty time is going to be? I've always wished they were all potty pad trained, but only one is...I guess I'll find out tomorrow! |

hi! we are about 30 miles south of chicago in joliet! this storm was ridiculous! around my home i got around 21 inches! my little girls will not go out in this! its been so cold on top of it. pixie is only 8 months old and 2 1/2 lbs and zowi is 10 yrs old and 10 1/2 lbs and i have chosen to just let them use thier peepads the past couple days, as they are very good girls about using them. i always have one down for nightime anyway. neither one of them like snow, just like thier momma! usually with a little snow, they hate going out and hold thier little paws up and go back inside asap. i tried boots, but they dislike them more than snow lol! we cannot wait for spring! then we'll enjoy the outdoors in chicago area much more! |
My 4 dogs love the snow they stay out forever and then they come into the house and five minutes later they want to go out again. I feel like a door man (woman). I don't worry too much about my two bassets but I do worry about Zach my yorkie and Zoe my shorkie. New year I'll have Oliver my shih tzu but he's only 11 weeks old and he hasn't had his shots yet so he's gonna have to wait. If I get my camera working I want to take some photos of them. |

My tiny Zoe is only about 7-8" tall so she would be doomed with lots of snow. She never would use a pee pad, but with the ice storms of the last 3 days she has started using it like a trooper! Yay Zoe! |
Hey...somebody send some snow our way....Mocha has never seen snow and I'm sure he would love it! |
Jasmine loves the snow and yesterday she brought in an icicle almost as long as she is.......she was so very proud of herself. Lol |
4 Attachment(s) I'm in the northern suburbs of Chicago and it was a real mess. We had no TV internet or land phone from Tuesday until this morning at 10am. I spent most of my time shoveling, snow blowing and resting in beween. Once I had half the drive way cleared I let the girls out to play since they couldn't get loose with all the snow. Nikki wasn't feeling well so I kept him in. They had fun for about 5 minutes then headed back to the garage. The first picture is the buried x pen I have out back for them to go in. |
sorry guys, was a little sick... i love all the photos and stories! i've NEVER seen so much snow in my life!!!!! :) |
No snow day today for me :( ... oh well the exam wasn't that bad... may take Harley out in the snow tomorrow if it's not terribly cold, I'll take a pic next to the 4ft snow bank by my car! My car was covered in a foot+ of snow today. apparently there's another storm sunday, no clue whether it's rain or snow. |
ya i heard sunday and monday  my husband and i were home sick during the blizzard and i was home sick again today. i guess the weather is matching how my body feels...lol! oh and when they plowed they put a pile of snow directly in front of out driveway! :thumbdown what test did you take? The snow however, just delivered some good news. One of my other classes, seeing Wednesday's section got canceled this week, they've canceled everyone else's next week so that Wednesday's people can catch up (weird logic eh?) So I have no school on Monday!!!! And tomorrow is a Holiday (a weird university one) YAY!!!! SUPER LONG WEEKEND!:D:D:D Sorry, that's irrelevant, but Harley doesn't understand why I'm so happy, and no one's home to share with. |
Good for you on the schooling! I hope you did well! Our babies are so good to share in joy with us! Bailey loves it when he shares joy with me. I'm a little worried about when all the snow melts! Quote:

refuses to go out Live about an hour west of Chicago in Malta. Dinner refuses to go outside when he gets close to the steps and sees snow. Had to get up a little earlier Wednesday morning and clean off the porch, steps and some of the sidewalk so he could go out. Of course with 17 inches really had no choice, but he does it even with a little dusting. Good thing is when it gets cold he goes out takes care of business and ready to go back in. No exploring on cold days. |
So funny I came upon this post tonight of all nights. I live in Ohio and we had a snow storm first and then ice the next day so today was the first time I let Scooter and Sadie out together,( she is finally out of heat) and Sadie just sat there, looked at the snow then looked at me as if to say, I know you do not think I am going out in that. Scooter , on the other hand, ran all over the snow, which is hard as a rock because it is covered with about an inch of ice. Scooter loves it, Sadie wants no part of it. My babies are spoiled |
I am in Oklahoma and mine were going crazy! My little guy got stuck on the other side of a tiny pile of snow and was barkign to be saved. The Boxer was running like a maniac and trying to catch the falling snow flakes. My other yorkie was on the porch wondering when she could come back in and didn't want to leave the porch. |
Every time I take Bailey outside he looks at the snow like "what the heck is all this" and mommy you better not put me down! LOL |
