At what age do they sleep through the night? Cricket is 11 weeks old. I have been setting my alarm clock for 1 AM to let her out. She is still asleep and I have to wait for her to come out of her kennel. We get up at 5 AM and get ready for the day. :( I was just wondering when she could make it through the night. I've never tried, because if I had to go, I wouldn't want to hold it. Thanks!! |
My yorkie did the same thing!! he's now 13 weeks old and can make it all the way through the night. I usually take away his water about an hour and a half before bed time though. And I make sure he goes to the bathroom right before we go to bed. Also if you make them stay in their kennell they will usually be ok for up to 8 hours if they have a healthy bladder! that is what i read in a training manual! hope it helps! |
I agree. Bo has always done really well, but I better take him out as soon as I can cause when he hears me moving around in the morning he gets excited :animal-sm and he can't wait and still has accidents in his kennel some days. He's about 17 weeks old now. Good luck. Hope you can get a good night's sleep soon!! |
Tyann, that is a great idea to take away the water an hour and a half before bed time. I think I'll keep that in mind when I get my little guy. Thanks! |
Thanks everyone, that's good to know. My neighbor told me to divide how many weeks they are by 2 and that's how long they can hold it. Cricket is 11 weeks and she says 5 1/2 hours????? |
Wow, Gracie must have been an exception to the rule! I got her at 9 weeks and she slept thorugh the night with no accidents from the first night! She's never peed in her kennel at night, and she's in there from about 10-11pm to 6-7am. |
