Little Nags Bella is such a nag, she will not leave us alone until she gets what she wants...most of the time she just wants to go outside, she loves it and our weather has been beautiful in the high 70's low 80's :D Well yesterday and today I have left Bella at home with her Daddy cause he's been working nights and bring Harley with me so we can work on his training one on one. BTW is going great...but he has become a little nag too...I know he picked it up from his big sis  So I was wondering if anyone else has naggers like mine :D and what do you do about it when its not always possible to give them what they want? |
I know what you mean. Sophie can get a bit bossy when she wants her treats RIGHT NOW!!!! She will try barking until she gets another treat. I've been making her wait until she stops barking and is quiet a bit before giving in. They are so cute though it's hard to be firm about it but the alternative of Sophie becoming the boss of the house doesn't work for me. ;) I envy your weather. We're looking at 16 inches of snow :( |
Oh Bella will stand at the refrig and scratch at the door for her treats, when she walks away is when I get the treat for her..I don't give in on that. Its the outside thing I find hard to say no too esp. Harley, hes only 18 weeks and in training and I don't wanna undo all the work we have done. I want him to let me know he has to go potty :) just not every 30 minutes LOL little stinker. |
my porscha will bark until you get & give her what she wants she barks for everything toys, chew sticks, to go out, food, her water bowl was empty the other day and she just refused to drink out of the other one hubby said she has me trained right its funny but i understand everything that she wants but i would not have it any other way they are our babies just not the skin ones but need just as much attention as a toddler |
Pixie is the queen of nag. She only nags for food. She got in to a bad habit of waking me up every night at 2:00 am for breakfast. I have tried before to stop it, by ignoring her but she outlasted me. She would carry on, barking, kicking her feet and carrying on until I just gave in and got up and feed them. Last week I decided I am in control here and started switching their feeding schedule so that they eat around 11:30 -12 midnight. The first few days were rough but for 4 nights now she sleeps through until 7-8 am. She still is having little fits when her old feeding times rolls around during the day and evening but I have not given in. It is so nice to sleep through the night again. |

aww yes.. Remy is my alarm clock. The trouble is I can't turn her off on the week-ends. My guys will beg for treats.. nag nag nag. My dh will save a bite of chicken or steamed carrots (he now checks with me if the food is safe thank goodness- we did have a scare once) for the furbuts and they know it. They will let out little yips to remind him if they think he has forgotten. Drives me nuts.. to bad you can't train dh!!! When I finish my plate and don't give them anything they get all huffy... I lived through raising two teen agers dogs are not going to hurt my feelings:D |
LOL to funny...I lived through raising 3 teenagers and it was A LOT easier to say no to them than it is my Yorkies and Cats...my little girl kitty Baby I think is just as bad as Bella and Harley when it comes to there treats...she will sit on her table where we keep there food/water at treat time...hubby will give the kitties theres and if hubby looks away to look at the pups she will take her paw and tap him on the side of his face "hey look at me not them, now give me that tuna" :p everytime I really need to record it...Nags LOL |
