I haven't taken Dinky out since the crazy snow and wind started. I'm sure he won't be able to go out.. I hope he understands to go on pee pad in the garage. I hope it 's not too confusing for him. |
we got lots of snow..its a blizzard outside. no school and work tomorrow. |
Ok so I just tried to take Izzy outside because she WILL NOT use the pee pad...and she was jumping around in the snow and playing with it while I'mm freezing my BUTT OFF waiting for her to go.. WTH!?!?!? lolol.. she has lost her mind..lolol.. They have already cancelled school and I had to call the radio stations so they could put an alert out that all 3 of our offices are closed. This is nuts, I have never seen it this bad out ever here. And here Izzy thinks it a winter wonderland outside just for her:eek:.. |
Michigan here too! Snow has just started falling in the Flint area, only a couple inches so far, but boy is the wind blowing like crazy!!! |
I would have thought you folks in Michigan were used to this.:D We got somewhere between 15-20 inches in this blizzard, high winds, and it's still blowing the snow around everywhere, even though the snowfall has finally moved out. It's made for some record breaking drifts! No work or schools today or tomorrow and maybe none on Thursday.:D |
Now we've progressed from snow to ice. The front of my home looks like the ice age. My dogs went out this morning because they wont use the pee pad and they came back looking like a popsicle. I had to peel their coats off their body because it was stuck to them. SUMMER PLEASE GET HERE!!! |
Yeah we do get snow, but I have never seen business close in advanced..even banks are closed till noon:eek:. Hobby cleared the snow for Izzy this morning. I don't think she has ever gone potty so fast. Now she's back in bed snuggling with me:D |
We got a few inches of snow (on top of the feet of snow already out there) and now we have ice on top of it. School is closed again. This is snow day #8 for us, and I am tired of being indoors. This morning Roxie scratched to go out, so I suited up in my coat and boots and took her out. As soon as she felt the ice and snow under her feet she stopped and peed right on the front walkway, and then turned and ran back to the house. She usually poos at this time too, so I was surprised she wanted to go back in. Well, sure enough, 3 minutes after we came in and I had taken off my coat and boots, she started scratching at the door. I guess she remembered that she had to poo. So, I suited up again and took her out a second time. She quickly did her business at the end of the driveway and then ran back to the house again. Silly dog. :animal36 She doesn't use pads, so we get the joys of taking her out in all kinds of weather - cold, ice, snow, rain, wind... :thumbdown |
Sitting here in the DFW area of Texas with ice and 12 degrees outside. Most things closed yesterday and now today well. Not supposed to get above freezing until Saturday. Texans just don't do ice driving very well at all. LOL Lizzie was supposed to have a specialist Vet appointment this coming Friday, so now it has be canceled and moved to next week. They are now doing Rolling Power Outages here cause people are using too much power to heat houses. Well duh I wonder why?? LOL At least Lizzie and Willow will use potty pads. |
I guess I am lucky because Trixie uses peepee pads so the snow is not an issue with her...although my husband and son went out the back door to our yard todady and she was so excited she zipped out the door and ran passed them only to hit a sheet of ice on the 2nd step and proceed to fall down the steps...thank goodness there are only 2 steps and that she was fine.....confused, but fine...she actually gave my husband a dirty look kinda saying...hey why did you do that to me??? Lots of ice here...2 hour school delay, but our roads aren't so bad. Hope everyone else is doing alright. |
We had 16 inches and it was blowing straight across. The wind had stopped by the time we got up today. The snow stopped yesterday evening. All of the schools, government offices, and most businesses, as well as interstates, were closed across the area Tuesday and today. Today the sun is shining with a high of 14. Tonight it is supposed to be 9 below. |
