How to keep a bow in Sophie's hair Hi, We have had Sophie's for a couple of months and I have yet to figure out how to keep a bow in her hair. Can anyone help? I have tried rubber bands and she pulls them out(with the hair). I have tried velcor and barretts and nothing seems to work. Please help!!! |
I know there are other expert members who can help with you that, but I have given up. I just now recently cut her top hair. I was so tired of combing it and putting the bow/rubber band/velcro band/ barrett back in. After 15 minutes of playing the top knot would be flopping on the side of her head. I was spending more time on her head then mine. I am getting ready to cut her body down low again, because with the cotton coat I am exhausted with the daily grooming. She is about 3- 4 inches long all over her body. Its is so pretty, but she hates being grooming and frankly I am tired of fighting with her over it. :p |
WELL I am not an expert member, But my baby will only leave them in for a while. did you start from the time she was little? I did - It didn't help just wondering some say that they do better - - I say that some just don't want them in their hair!LOL |
Wish I could help you, I'm luck if Princess will leave her bow in long enough for me to snap a picture. |

:eyetearss Funny! I don't even get that long most of time. She immediately start to roll all over the floor! Roxie is going on 11 months and I have spent the last 8 months trying different bows, barretts etc.... I could open my own store with my inventory. |
I agree with opening a store. I have spent so much money on her head and it just sits in a drawer. |
Hair Hell First you have to wait till shes sleep. Than you can part her hair with a comb, if she lets you. Or just grab some of her hair with your fingers. Then put the rubber band on. Use the kind from the dollar store. There should be like 100 for a dollar or 50 4 a dollar. Put the bow on. Than put another rubber band on. Last make sure that he/she dosent look chinese. Loosen it up. If she pulls it out it probably wasnt tight enough. |

Thanks. I will go to the dollar store and get the rubber bands. I tried my sons rubber bands from when he wore braces but never used two of them. Only one. Thanks again. I can not wait to try it. |
1 Attachment(s) I have found the only barrette that Cookie will leave in his hair. I've been letting his hair grow out . He would NEVER leave a rubberband on his hair,he would scrub his head on the rug and pull on it until it looked awful or came out. I tried other barrettes and he would take them off too. Finally I tried one of the bow barrettes from GW little and they are AWESOME! He leaves it on. Even if he's playing the bow does NOT come off. It snaps tight but it doesnt pull the hair like those little rubberbands do. All the other barrettes I've gotten him slide off his hair , with this one you dont need to put a rubberband at all. |
Just keep putting them in eventually she will except the bows (topknots) Its just like training them. :p |
